ISOM, Mrs. Yvonne Denise - Age 45, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2005 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Family hour 1:30PM Friday, July 8, 2005 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2PM. Eld. Jimmy Sauls officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30PM Friday. Mrs. Isom will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Thursday. Mrs. Yvonne Denise Isom (Bunny Rabbit) was born to Rev. Isom Stone and the late Mrs. Ivy Lee Stone-Gay, on December 23, 1959 in Flint, Michigan. Mrs. Isom graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1978. Mrs. Isom learned to serve Christ at an early age. She was a member of Christ the Rock, later joining New City of Hope, where she served on the Ushers Board, under the leadership of Pastor Kenneth Williams. She worked as a lunch room mother at Gundry Elementary School until her health began to fail. Mrs. Isom had a spirit of love. While enduring countless years of battling Lupus, her spirits were always uplifting. She was the first to volunteer to assist everyone. If there was something to be done, Mrs. Isom was there. Yvonne loved music, her favorite artist was the late Luther Vandross. She enjoyed family gatherings, playing cards and laughing. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren. Mrs. Yvonne Isom leaves to cherish her loving memories: husband of 28 years, Johnny Isom, Jr.; 2 sons, Jamyron and Keith Isom; daughter, Yvonne Isom; 6 grandchildren; 2 brothers; 4 sisters; 3 step-brothers; 5 step-sisters, father and step-mother; 3 uncles; 3 aunts; father and mother-in-law; 5 brothers-in-law; 4 sisters-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends including special friends, Tammy Lawson, Martha Sutton, Arnetta Ingram, Tonya Laury, Helen Lewis, Carolyn Brock (card partner) and Evelyn Barton. The family wishes to express special thanks to brother Darry Stone, the Winthrop Street families, the James P. Cole family, the Gospel Supremes, the Dantzler family, Pastor Kenneth (Jimmie) Williams and the McLaren Dialysis Center staff. Mrs. Yvonne Isom was preceded in death by her mother; grandparents; step-father; step-grandmother; sister; step-brother; step-sister; 2 uncles; aunt and 2 brothers-in-law.
