REDWINE, Mr. Willie Lee "Wine" "Willie Wine" - Age 86, left his earthly home on Friday, May 1, 2020 @ 3:03PM at McLaren-Flint. Mr. Redwine will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed Wednesday, May 13, 2020 from 2:00 PM-6:00 PM. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Mr. Willie Lee “Wine” , “Willie Wine” Redwine was born September 27, 1933 in Birmingham, Alabama, the son of the late George and Thelma (Walton) Redwine. Willie attended Wenonah High School. He loved to watch football, baseball, basketball and Westerns; especially “Gunsmoke”. He also loved going to family functions. Willie enjoyed going to Church, listening to Gospel music, talking on the telephone and going out to dinner with his family to celebrate his and brother-in-law James birthdays. Willie was full of life and he will be missed by all that knew him. Mr. Redwine was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Sam & Betty Redwine and Mack & Sally Walton; step-mother, Leola Redwine; siblings, Elisa “Squeeze”, Robert “Rank”, Georgia Mae Parlor, James “Slim”, Mackie B. “Tab”, twin brother, Willie B., Ruby Lee Belk and twins, L.C. “Big Baby” and L.V. “Lil Baby”; sisters-in-law, Juanita Walton, Marlene Redwine and Brenda Kay Redwine; brother-in-law, Elwood Parlor. Mr. Willie Lee Redwine leaves to cherish his memory: thirty special nieces and nephews, Barbara, Karen (James), Evelyn, Monica, Sherise, Roderick “Wine”, Lawanda, Gale, Claude, Donald, Steven, Robbie, Princess, Talisa, Michelle, Lamonica (Michael), Robin, Lisa, Melvin Sr. (Terry), Greg, Jerome, Joanne (Antonio), Thelma, Eleazer Jr., Darryl, James “Pee-Wee” (Monica), Carolyn, Verdia, Cheryl and Debra; a host of special great-nieces and great-nephews including, Demetris who would spoil him with the food he like to eat; especially on the holidays, Ameera (Dillon), Carlye, Kareem, Malkahi, Terrence and Darrius; a host of special great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; 3 sisters-in-law, Virginia Redwine, Thelma “Myrtle” Redwine of Birmingham, AL and Elizabeth “Betty” Redwine; brother-in-law, James Belk; a host of cousins including special cousin like a sister, Mary Ann (Napoleon Sr.) Demps, Roderick “Wine” of Cleveland, OH; whom came to see him to watch a good ball game, Lisa (Kevin), John, Susan and Erica, all of Birmingham, AL, Myron Sr., Ryan, Peggy of Georgia, Darryl, Terry Lynn of Kentucky all of his family in Flint, Birmingham and Kentucky: the Redwine, Roper, Walton families; a host of other relatives and friends including several nurse’s aides, including his special lady, Danielle Skinner, the residents and other staff of Kith Haven Nursing Facility, the residents at his former home, Slidell and Dr. Kunadi.
