Mrs. Willie Lois "Lucille" Laury

LAURY, Mrs. Willie Lois - Age 74, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Laury will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed Thursday, December 31, 2020 from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Interment Flint Memorial Park, 9506 N. Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, MI. Mrs. Willie Lois Laury was born September 20, 1946 in Jackson, Mississippi, the daughter of Johnnie and Eloise Rodgers. She was a resident of Flint, Michigan. Willie retired from Chevrolet Fabricating, a division of General Motors Corporation and retired with 25 years of service. She was a member of Charity United Methodist Church where she served as an Usher. Willie loved to read, cook and bake. She also loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family. Mrs. Willie Lois Laury leaves to cherish her memory: former husband, Willie Laury Jr.; daughter, Tanya Laury; 2 sons, Keith Laury, all of Flint and Kevin Laury of Cypress, CA; grandchildren, Antonio Elliott, LaTonya Laury, Kaiesha Laury, Journee Laury, all of Flint, Keriana Laury of Grand Rapids, MI and Dejuan Laury; great-grandchildren, Jaquohn Greene, Jaxcyn Laury, Steve William, London Murphy, all of Flint, Aliehya Laury and Jayla Murphy, both of Swartz Creek, MI; sister, Deborah Ann Rodgers; 6 nieces; 2 nephews; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Cherice Blake, she is amazing and was always there helping mom and the grandson, Jaquohn, a very special thanks to Stephen McPherson who has been there every step of the way. Mrs. Laury was preceded in death by her father, Johnnie Rodgers; mother, Eloise Rodgers; sister, Mary Regina Alexander; brothers, Lancaster and Willie Paul; sister-in-law/guardian, Mabel D. Rodgers. The family would like to express special thanks to McLaren-Flint Nurses on Floors 12 & 6 who took great care of my mom during her time of great need. The family would also like to thank the McLaren Hospice Management Team, they were awesome with the personal medical and spiritual care. Lastly, we would like to thank Evaett Webb, Kimberly Sims, Geraldine Wilson and Tonya Wickware who assisted Tanya Laury during the hospice care.
