DIXON, Mr. Willie - Age 57, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2005 at his residence. Family hour 10:00AM Saturday, October 1, 2005 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00AM. Rev. Campbell, officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00AM Saturday. Mr. Dixon will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday. Mr. Willie Earl Dixon, Sr. was born March 13, 1947 in Albion, Michigan, the son of Ralph and Asea Bloodworth. Mr. Dixon was a member of New Life Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Wilbert E. Campbell. He enjoyed Bible Study and serving on the Usher Board. Mr. Dixon loved spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Willie Earl Dixon, Sr. leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Jacqueline C. Dixon; 2 daughters, Lisa (Sean) Lee, and Courtney Dixon; 3 sons, Willie Jr. (Tameka), Marvin (La'Tresha), and Derrick (Peggy) Dixon; 11 grandchildren, Deont'e Benton, Otisa Dendy, Demeka Glenn, Brian Thomas, Kwam'e Jones, Tyrone, Tieasure, Tanaysha, Diamond, Derrick Jr., and Nagee Dixon, all of Flint; 3 great grandchildren, Oterrion Daniels, Deshanna Thomas, and Omarion Pannell; father, Ralph Bloodworth; sister, Berneice Dixon Wright of IN; 2 brothers, Jomo (Mone) Kenyatta of CA, Edward Bloodworth of Lansing, MI; 11 nieces and nephews; aunt, Shirley Wilson; uncles, Raymond Wilson and Wiley Thomas of Flint; many cousins; father-in-law, Bernard Alexander; sisters-in-law, Belle (Charlie) Bell, Eartha Logan; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Jimmy Clarke, Veron Payne, Victor Johnson, and Lottie Reid. Mr. Willie Earl Dixon, Sr. was preceded in death by his sons, Timothy Bontley, and Tyrone Dixon; mother, Asea Bloodworth; mother-in-law, Annie Jean Alexander; brother, Ruybo Bloodworth; brother-in-law, Etienne' F. Logan. The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to everyone for the acts of kindness shown during their loss.
