Mr. William Malone

MALONE, Mr. William - Age 85, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Regency of Grand Blanc. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Macedonia Baptist Church, G-5443 N. Saginaw St., with funeral services commencing at 11:00 AM. Rev. Andre' Powell, officiating. Interment Gracelawn Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Saturday. Mr. Malone will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday, with family present 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM to receive friends. William Malone was born August 5, 1938 in Crawford, Mississippi to Aaron Malone, Sr. and Louella Jordan – Malone. Departing this life on Sunday, Februar y 18, 2024 at Grand Blanc – Regency. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Pleasant Grove Missionar y Baptist Church. William attended school at Pleasant Grove High School in Crawford, MS. William later relocated to Flint, Michigan and was employed with General Motors Truck and Bus Assembly and retiring in 2000 after working 35 years. On August 6, 1966, William united in holy matrimony to Jerdine Shelton. Two beautiful children were born from their union. He leaves to cherish his memories꞉ A devoted wife of 57 years, Jerdine Malone; 2 beautiful daughters, Farrow Rene and Tisa Deshel Malone of Flint; 1 son, Robert Thames of Flint; 1 granddaughter, Asia RaTice Malone of Flint; 2 sisters, Nancy Norris and Maggie Peters of Starkville, MS; 1 sister‑in‑law, Annie J. Malone of Crawford, MS; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; 1 God‑ daughter, Javanna Pippins; 1 God‑Son, Reverend Andre’ (Maria) Powell. William was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron Malone, Sr. and Louella Jordan‑ Malone; 1 daughter, Nina Jennings; 4 brothers, Tommie J. Malone, Aaron Malone, Jr.,Johnny Malone and Walter J. Malone; 1 sister, Gussie Gillespie. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Grand Blanc‑Regency staff, Dr. Raffee and staff, 8 th and 10 th floor nurses at McLaren Hospital, Macedonia Missionar y Baptist Church Family.
