COLEMAN, Mr. William, Jr. "Witt" - Age 56, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at his residence. Family hour 11:30AM Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at Metropolitan Baptist Tabernacle, 930 E. Myrtle St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 12Noon. Dr. A.J. Pointer officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11:30AM Tuesday. Mr. Coleman will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 1-8PM Monday. Mr. William "Witt" Coleman, Jr. was born on July 7, 1948 in Gaffney, South Carolina, the son of Ailene Henderson and William Coleman, Sr. He was raised by his grandparents, Nannie and Anthony Coleman in South Carolina, where he accepted Christ at an early age. He later moved to Flint, MI, graduating from Flint Northewestern High School in 1967, and he soon began working for Buick City. He was a member of UAW Local #599. While working at Buick, he met his wife Florean (Hart) Coleman. He enjoyed listening to music, dancing, telling jokes, fishing and hunting. Mr. William Coleman, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Florean Coleman; 2 daughters, Cheryl Hart and Tuwanna Brown; son, JaQuan Hart; 6 grandchildren, Kaniesha Hart, Antonio Brown, Sr., Donald Shumpert, TeNasha, Treon and Tyana Williams, all of Flint, MI; great-grandchildren, Angel and Antonio Brown, Jr.; mother, Arlene Henderson; grandparents, Nannie and Anthony Coleman; 3 sisters, Vernita Coleman and Brenda Hardy of Flint and Denise (Larry) Pruitt of Memphis, TN; 3 brothers, Michael (Geraldine), Councilman Johnnie and Kelvin (Leanna) Coleman, all of Flint; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; 2 aunts, Minnie (Henry) Harden of Flint, and Alice Retchford; uncle, John Roberts, Sr. both of Gaffney, SC; 6 sisters-in-law, Pauline Young, Mary Dantzler and Shirley Hart of Flint, Eddie B. Rice of Starkville, MS, Christine Bridges of Crawford, MS and Thelma Brooks of Chicago, IL; 8 brothers-in-law, Tommie James (Gladys) Hart, Jr., Sylvester Hart and Emmett Hart, all of Crawford, MS, Jeffrey Hart of Melbourne, Australia, Jerry (Minnie) Hart, Charlie (Mary) Hart, Jimmie (Faye) Hart and Willie Earl Hart, all of Flint; a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. William "Witt" Coleman, Jr. was preceded in death by his father, William Coleman, Sr.; step-mother, Verna Coleman and brother-in-law, James Otis Hart.
