MILLER, Ms. Vicki Lynn - Age 69, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Chelsea Hospital, Chelsea, MI. Family hour 12:30 PM Friday, February 28, 2025, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2109 M.L. King Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 1:00 PM Pastor Rodney Ellison, officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G9506 N. Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 12:30 PM Friday. There will be no public viewing. Vicki Lynn Miller was born April 18,1955 in Flint, Michigan to Joyce Miller and Gilbert Miller. Vicki was the first born and grew up with her 2 sisters, Dawana and Terri. She graduated from Northwestern High School and continued her education to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Mercy College in Detroit, MI. Vicki worked diligently for 30 years at General Motors Corporation until she retired in 2007. The eldest in the family tree Vicki Lynn was the epicenter of the family. Our matriarch, and was truly the all-time greatest to all those around her. She wholeheartedly dedicated herself to caring and being there for family and loved ones all throughout her life. Vicki deeply treasured and played a pivotal role in the lives of her great niece and nephew Tyri and Julius. They were the apple of her eye. Vicki enjoyed life and looked forward to her birthday. An adventurous spirit, Vicki enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She cherished weekly trips to the movies, and relished in the tranquility of fishing in the summer. Vicki also enjoyed tending to her garden, her favorite part was eating the cucumbers because the grocery stores were never as good as what she grew at home. Summers were especially dear to her as she vacationed in California annually to visit her sister and niece. Vicki was always active. Beginning many decades ago, she first started walking the Northern track trail. Finding new trails, routes and parks it evolved to her walking 20+ miles a week, 20,000 steps a day, in addition to working out at Curves faithfully 5 days a week with her beloved mother. She was a regular participant in the Crim Festival of Races. Vicki was a lifelong member at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She served several years on the technology ministry. As a devout Christian, Vicki’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She believed deeply in the Lord, who was her one true savior. Vicki will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. Without doubt she reigns as one of the sweetest, caring, god-fearing, and selfless souls. Her love for her family knew no bounds and the loss of her presence is profound. For all that were blessed to have known her and experienced all her greatness and glory. We were truly touched by an angel. Vicki Lynn Miller leaves to cherish her memory: mother, Joyce Miller of Mt. Morris, MI; sister, Dawana (Bo) Miller of Panorama City, CA; brother, Gilbert (Ramona) Miller of New Jersey; 3 nieces, Tinika Day of Panorama City, CA, and special niece, Tyya (Julius) Garner of Flint; uncle, Kenneth (Sue) Wright of Mt. Morris, MI; a host of cousins, including special cousin, Carmen; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Bea, Thetis, Marvin and Pam. Vicki was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert Miller; grandfather, Elvin Wright Sr.; grandmother, Gertie Wright; sister, Terri Miller; aunts, Barbara Johnson and Donnice Williams; and uncle, Elvin Wright Jr. The family would like to express special thanks to University of Michigan Hospital of Ann Arbor, MI.
