PITTS, Ms. Veronica Michelle - Age 56, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022, at her residence. Ms. Pitts will lie in state in the chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM with graveside burial services commencing at 12:00 PM. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Pastor Michael Pettigrew, officiating.Ms. Veronica Michelle Pitts was born October 10, 1965 in Flint, Michigan, the youngest daughter of Loyal and Margie Pitts. Veronica graduated from Flint Central High School, “Class of 1984.” She also graduated from Baker College with her Bachelor Degree, and University of Phoenix with her Master Degree. For a brief period of time she worked in the Administration Office at Baker College, and as an Interior Decorator for Regal Concepts in the City of Flint. Veronica was exceptionally talented with art, drawing and designing fashion and furniture. She was very passionate about shopping, traveling and going to Frankenmuth, MI with her family. Veronica was a fashionista by right, always dressed from head to toe, with nothing out of place. She always kept the latest gadgets and technology on hand. Veronica was heavily influenced by family and loved spending time with them. She also loved being around all of her nieces and nephews. Veronica was especially close with her sisters, Roslyn Joy Pitts (deceased), Gail (Tony) Burke, Paulette Pitts and her brother-in-law, Tony Burke. All of which who kept her so spoiled and gave her anything she wanted being the baby of the family. Ms. Veronica Michelle Pitts, took pride in the fact she was a great aunt and was exceptionally proud of her 2 nieces, Simia Carter and Shante (Reiko) Hurd, as well as great-nephews, Tereik and Kyrie, and her great-niece, Leah, along with a host of other great-nieces and great-nephews. Veronica leaves to cherish her memory: 4 siblings, Gail (Tony) Burke, Paulette Pitts, Cleo Pitts of Oakland, CA and Ray (Stella) Pitts; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Veronica was a free-spirited soul that loved good food, art, shopping, laughter, family and friends. She also had a deep spiritual connection to the Lord. Veronica accepted the Lord at an early age and was a faith warrior for the family. Ms. Pitts was preceded in death by her parents, Margie and Loyal Pitts; brothers, Wayne Pitts, Danny Pitts, Charles “Lee” Pitts; and sister, Roslyn Pitts. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of McLaren-Flint, Henry Ford Hospital and Compassus Hospice Care. She may be gone physically, but will forever be present in our hearts and minds.
