Mother Vernell Fuller

FULLER, Mother Vernell - Age 81, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 at Genesys Health Park. Family hour 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Ebenezer Ministries, 2130 S. Center Rd., Burton, MI, with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends will assemble at the church 10:00 a.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Fuller will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday, with the family present from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. to receive friends. Mother Vernell (West) Fuller was born September 15, 1934 in Avon Park, Florida, the daughter of the late Rev. Alexander and Ellen West. Vernell attended school in Avon Park and later migrated to Flint, MI in 1953. On August 31, 1956, she married Deacon Earl Fuller, Sr. and later gave birth to their only son, Earl Fuller, Jr. in 1967. She retired from McLaren Hospital in 1989, where she worked as a Psychiatric Attendant. Mother Fuller gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was an active member of Ebenezer Ministries, where she sang with the Inspirational Voices for many years and was a part of the CK Travelers 55+group. Vernell loved gardening and cooking for her family. She loved traveling the country alongside her husband, where they visited 48 out of the 50 states. Mother Vernell Fuller leaves to cherish her memory: loving husband of 62 years, Deacon Earl Fuller, Sr. of Flint; her only son, Earl (Tina) Fuller, Jr.; three grandchildren, Chene (Jared) Montgomery, Earl Fuller III and Caleb M. Fuller; five siblings, Elder Alexander Jr. (Annie) West, Mary Francis Smith, all of Flint; Charles (Katie) West of Radcliffe, KY, Winifred Douglas of Burton, MI and Marshey Kay Wilson of Flint; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins other family members and friends including special friends, Erma Polk, Tagner McDougal, Pastor Alfonzo (Angela) Williams, Dr. Chris Longmire, McJuests “Chucki” Briscoe, the Hawkins and Finley families, Dea. Johnny and Jamie Goddard and Tia Brackett. Mother Fuller was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Alfred Lee, Melford and Matthew West and niece, Carmen West. The family would like to express special thanks to Bishop Urundi B. Knox and the Ebenezer Ministries Church families, Dr. R.L. Swamy and the Genesys Health Park MICU and hospice staff.
