TAYLOR, Ms. Utesha - Age 51, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 1:30 PM Friday, September 15, 2023, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Rev. Ira Gilbert, Host Pastor, Rev. Clarence Lee, officiating. Family and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Friday. Ms. Taylor will lie in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Thursday. Ms. Utesha Michelle Taylor was born October 5, 1971 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Geneatha Taylor and Ned Campbell. Utesha lived in Flint all of her life. She attended Flint Schools, Scott, Dort and Eisenhower Elementary, Whittier Jr. High, Central High School and School of Choice. Utesha also attended the Genesee County Skill Center where she took nursing classes to become a Nurse Assistant at Durand Convalescent Home. Utesha was a very caring and lovable person who would help and do for anyone in need no matter who you were, even though she didn’t have much herself. Everyone loved her as she loved them. Her passion was taking care of her kids and grandkids, but most of all she loved to cook anything for anybody, she had a true heart of gold. Utesha also attended United Missionary Baptist Church. Ms. Utesha Michelle Taylor leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters and 2 sons, Melody Campbell (Harold Wesley), Roman Campbell, all of Flint, Geneatha Campbell (James Sheer) of Laingsburg, MI and Brandon (Arishawn) Campbell of Mt. Morris, MI; 5 step-children, Shamaria Felton, Chad Phillips, Damon Lowe, Sharron Acosta, and JaQuice Calhoun Jr.; grandchildren, Ja’khia Hawkins, Nacoilie Williams, Brandon Ross, Elijah Ross, Debreah Mitchell, Christopher Adams, Mariona Ross, Shaniah Ross, Zayon Campbell, Heaven Padillia, Elias Padillia, Breonna Padillia, Jabari Padillia, Caprice Epps, Tonya Brce, Marquan Haygood, Quincy Haygood, Zariah Walker, Dacarion Walker, Chasity Morris, Alexandria Alexander, Ryan Ashley, Vicki Ashley, James Ashley, Nate Green and Jayshawn Ashley; step-grandchildren, Dantonina Haygood, Sama J. Luster, Jaliyah Luster, Kamira Gilbert, angel Gilbert, Steffan Thomas, Stephon Thomas, Sandra Flennoy, Capitola Ashley; mother, Geneatha Campbell; sisters, Tyana McDaniels, Ann Pendelton and Quansheila Jones; brother, Andre Taylor of Boston, MA; nieces, Vanessa Taylor, Dineen Anderson and Tamika Taylor; nephews, Tre’von Taylor, Kiontae Taylor, Kailee Taylor, Kaisen Taylor, Taylor Anderson, Jace Anderson, London Taylor and Jordan Anderson; aunt, Bonita “Bonnie” Taylor; a host of cousins including special cousin, Sheneen Jones; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Steffan Felton, Toyia Luster, Ellise Butler, George Demps.
