Mr. Tyree Langston Sr.

LANGSTON, SR., Mr. Tyree - Age 54, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 at his residence. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with memorial service commencing at 2 p.m. Pastor Rodney Murphy, officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. There will be no public viewing. Mr. Tyree W. Langston was born August 16, 1958 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mose and Maggie Marshall. Before his passing, Tyree was baptized at Southeast Christian Church of Burton, Michigan, by the Pastor Kenneth Brown. He graduated from Flint Northern High School, “Class of 1976.” Tyree begin working at Buick City the same year, later moving to Taylor, Michigan, where he retired from GM Powertrain, after 32 years of faithful service. He enjoyed many social events, traveling, dancing, fishing and spending time with family. Tyree also enjoyed listening to the Blues. He was a very joyous man, who loved to laugh and smile in the presence of those he loved most. Mr. Tyree W. Langston leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Sherri S. Langston of Taylor, MI; 2 sons, Tyree Watson Langston, Jr. of Canton, MI and Evan Dye; 2 daughters, Tiona Langston and Tanjanique Dye, all of Taylor, MI; grandson, Christian Tyree Langston; 2 step grandchildren, Stanley Jackson and Christenay Lee; 3 sisters, Sylvia Warren of Pine Bluff, AR, Lois Jones of Gilbert, AZ and Denise (Kareem) Stephens of Flint; 3 brothers, Robert Langston, Anthony Marshall and Willie Langston, all of Flint; 11 nieces; 9 nephews; 1 aunt; 2 uncles; 2 sisters-in-law; 6 brothers-in-law; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, the Evans, Gibson, Murphy, Russell, Moore, Shoemaker, Bradshaw and Hills families, the rest of the McClellan Street family and UAW Local 599. Mr. Langston was preceded in death by his parents, Mose and Maggie Marshall; brothers, Durrell Marshall and Calvin Langston, Jr.; sister, Alma McKinney; and grandparents.
