Mr. Timothy W. Epps Sr.

EPPS, Mr. Timothy W., Sr. - Age 49, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10 a.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. with memorial service commencing at 11 a.m. Rev. Harry Prince officiating. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Chapel 10 a.m. Thursday. Mr. Epps will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12 p.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Timothy Wayne Epps Sr., “Timmy” was born April 13, 1964 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Curtis W. Epps Sr. and Lillian Ann (Pharms) Epps. He attended Flint Community Schools. Timothy was baptized at an early age at Foss Avenue Baptist Church. He was employed at Al Bennett and Dort Steel; he served as a construction worker and also obtained many other jobs. He loved watching movies and sports, listening to music and spending time with family and friends. Timothy was a very warm hearted person, he had a heart of gold and he was known to keep the family alive and smiling. Timmy was known for his gentle heart, his hilarious personality and practical jokes. He was very humorous and was the type of person that kept you laughing. In his eyes, family was his number one priority. His favorite saying when you asked him “What’s happening?” He responded saying “Same old soup just warmed over.” Mr. Timothy Wayne Epps “Timmy” leaves to cherish his memory: 6 daughters, Ericka Fordham, LaQuetta Gaylor, LaTasha and LaTanya Love, all of Flint; LaToya Nelson of Lansing, MI and LaTesha Gibson (fiancé Jason); son, Timothy Epps, Jr. of Kalamazoo, MI; 12 grandchildren, Timothy Epps II of Kalamazoo, MI; Jayden Lilly of Lansing, MI; Arquashia, Eddie Robinson, Alexisis Aaron, Deajinae, Jason Jr., Aniyah Gibson, Precious and K’Yion Gaylor, Kainya Stokes, Syesha and Deaontae Smith Jr. all of Flint; special friend, Stephanie Baker; father, Curtis W. Epps Sr.; sister, Pauletta Epps, 3 brothers, Andre Epps, David (Pat) Epps and Tony (Trina) Epps all of Flint; 4 step-sisters, Gloria (Phillip) Morgan, Ronnie(Robert) Wesley and Doris Broadnax, all of Flint and Patricia (James) Bell of Nashville, TN; stepbrother, Alexander (Junie) Gardner; uncle, Murmon Pharms Sr., of Flint; 4 nieces, Sherese Stapleton, Shahona Stovall, TaKeila and Jillian McNeal; 5 nephews, Harold McNeal Jr., Andre Jr., Antonio, Aaron and Adrian Epps, all of Flint; 5 great-nieces, 2 great-nephews, including Jesse Drakeford who held a special place in his heart; a host of special friends and relatives including mothers of his children, Nadine Fordham and Sabrina Nelson; special friends, Tony Fluke, Kevin (KB) Brown, Wally Parks, Cassie Avery, White Ron, the Pharms, Naphier, Williams, Johnson, Parks, Mason, Snell, Kendall, Meeks, Brown, Lawler and Baker families and the Selby Neighborhood and a host of others too numerous to name. Mr. Timothy Wayne Epps Sr., “Timmy” was preceded in death by mother, Lillian Ann (Pharms) Epps; brother, Curtis W. Epps, Jr.; grandparents, George and Pauline Pharms, Sr.; Rev. William and Mildred Epps and a host of aunts and uncles.
