BREED, Ms. Tara C. - Age 40, passed away Friday, September 7, 2012 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 10 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2012 at New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church, 1035 E. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor Patrick W. Sanders, Sr., Host Pastor, Pastor Reynard Manmouth, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10 a.m. Saturday. Ms. Breed will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8 p.m. Friday. Ms. Tara C. Breed was born April 18th, 1972 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Carl and Doretha Breed. Tara attended Flint Community Schools including Scott Elementary, Whittier, and Flint Central High School where she graduated with the “Class of 1990.” Tara was a member of Dozier CME Church where she accepted Christ at the age of 5. She loved going to church and serving the Lord. Tara was employed at Abbott meats, Mr. B’s, and Target Corporation as a dedicated Team Leader for 17 years before her retiring due to health issues. Although Tara loved everyone, her mother, brother, and her boys was the love of her life. She was a woman with great Fortitude who took tremendous pride in motivating and encouraging others to succeed in life. She loved to laugh and always had a bright smile on her face. Tara really enjoyed attending her boy’s sport events. Her hobbies included home décor, traveling, casino, shopping and spending time with her family. She leaves in God’s hands to cherish her memories: fiancé, Cavanta McLilly; three sons, D’Airyonta, MaKyce and Tarvonion; special sons, Cavanta McLilly, Jr. and Freddy Cook; goddaughter: Dena’I Pollard; loving and devoted mother, Doretha Breed; father, Carl Breed; special dad, Earnest "Slim" Smith; two brothers, Donta Breed, and Marvis C. "Butch" (Tonya) Breed-Farr "Butch"; special brothers, Terry Warren and Rev. Reynard L. Tara was preceded in death by her great-grand mother, Clara Robinson; grandparents, Willie and Hattie Carr, William and Hattie Breed; uncles, Booker, Frank, Marathon Poplar, Wilfred Carr and Robert Breed; aunts, Claudette Younger and Ester Breed; cousins, Eric “MC” Breed, Elliott “Cookie” Breed, Robert “Bobby” Breed and Josh Wright.
