AMERSON-HOWARD, Mrs. Shonda Michelle- Age 43, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in Columbus, Ohio. Family hour: 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 a.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Howard will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday. Mrs. Shonda Michelle Amerson-Howard was born June 30, 1969 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Stella Mae Amerson and James Earl Jacobs. She attended the Flint and Beecher Community Schools. Shonda worked several jobs in the Hospitality Field. Her hobbies included fishing, styling hair and hanging out with the children. Shonda attended Canaan Baptist Church and several churches in Columbus, OH including God’s House of Ministry with Pastor Jody. Mrs. Shonda Michelle Amerson-Howard leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Carl Anthony Howard; 4 daughters, Shqonda M. Amerson, Shquetta M. Amerson, all of Flint, Shamonique M. Amerson of Detroit, MI and Roshania C. Howard of Bloomberg, TX; 6 grandchildren, Pascheion Amerson, Briana Shepard, both of Bloomberg, TX, Airelle Simms, Gabrielle Simms, both of Flint, Aaron Taylor, Jr., and Aarlyn Taylor, both of Detroit, MI; parents, Stella Mae Amerson and James Earl Jacobs; 2 sisters, Carla (Joseph) Ferguson and Victoria Amerson; brother, Travis Amerson; 3 nieces, Naportia McMillan, Sheneka Jackson and Nariyah Knox; great-nephew, Dameshio Fuller, Jr.; 3 aunts, Betty Flowers, Virginia Ormond and Callie (David) Henderson, all of Flint; 2 uncles, Cliff (Pauline) Amerson, Jr. and James Amerson, both of Mt. Morris, MI; special cousin, Paulette Miles; a host of other relatives and friends whom she was very close too including special friends, Harry Williams, Allen Whitset, Rochelle Lowe, Ann Graves and Glenda Sims. Mrs. Amerson-Howard was preceded in death by her grandson, Jeremiah Amerson; grandparents, Cliff and Emma Amerson; uncle, Matthew Ormond; and her cousin, Derrick Henderson.
