WOOTEN, Mrs. Rosemary – Age 69, passed away, Friday, July 25, 2008 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30AM Monday, August 4, 2008 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11AM. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Monday. Mrs. Wooten will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 10-8PM Sunday. Mrs. Rosemary Wooten was born October 3, 1938 in Prattville, Alabama, the daughter of William Avery and Annie Mae Startmiles. Rosemary attended the Seventh-Day Adventist School in Holly, MI at a young age. Mom was a great homemaker. She loved to sew, cook, and watch movies. Rosemary was a giving person; and gave unselfishly to other to others. She was comical and so full of laughter. Rosemary had an appetite for learning new things. She loved her family and friends. Mrs. Rosemary Wooten leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Tammy Wooten-Prewitt; 4 sons, John, Kenneth and Mark Wooten, all of Flint, and Gregory Wooten of Atlanta, TX; 12 grandchildren, Javon, Jasmin and Jessica Prewitt, Camille Wooten, MarQuez Copeny, Javona, Christopher, Rajon, and Dominique Robinson, all of Flint, Jellina, Gregory and Kelly Wooten, all of Atlanta, TX; great-grandchild, Ayani Jamison; 2 sisters, Evelyn Wooten of Flint and Cornelia Strickland of Birmingham, AL; brother, Virgil Avery of Flint; 5 nieces, Diane Wooten of Flint, Jean, Joann, Renita, all of Birmingham, AL and Kim Kenebrew of Flint; 13 nephews, Ronnie, Terry, Keith, Fredrick, Rodney, Tim and Anthony Avery, all of Flint, James, Terry, Mauricos, Anthony, Charles and Jerome. Mrs. Wooten was preceded in death by her parents, William Avery and Anna Mae Startmiles; nephew, Ronnie Wooten; 3 brother, William, Arthur Lee and Eddie Lee; 4 aunts, Sammy, Anna Mae, Lucille and Jean of Birmingham, AL. The family would like to express special thanks to Lawanda Prewitt, Rodney Prewitt, Melanie Moore, Marilyn McGlory, Melvin Marks, Lorraine Hornaday, the Gooch and Wells families.
