Ms. Rogean Mildred Alexander

ALEXANDER, Ms. Rogean Mildred - Age 77, passed away Friday, January 17, 2014 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2014 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Bishop Bernadel Jefferson officiating. Interment Sunset Hill Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Chapel 10:30 a.m. Monday. Ms. Alexander will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. Ms. Rogean Mildred Alexander was born February 21, 1936 in Flint, Michigan to Milton Robinson and Geraldine Smith. Rogean graduated from Northern High School. She worked at AC Spark Plug, a division of General Motors for over 20 years and was a member of UAW Local 651. After retiring she enjoyed family and friends; by hosting cookouts, and even going to the lakes and having picnics. Rogean love to “Bowl” and playing cards with “The Girls”, but her true love was playing “Dominoes” and “Bingo”. Rogean also loved playing board games and video games with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was always willing to help someone in need. Rogean had a love for soap operas and westerns and yes, her “Cowboys.” Ms. Alexander leaves to cherish her memories: son, Milton (Luella) Alexander of Flint; daughter, Monique Hennie of Atlanta, GA; adopted son, Willie Fair of Flint, MI; granddaughters, Dionna (Kyron) Harvell of Lansing, MI and Tequila Fair; grandsons, Marcus Hopkins, Keyonta Williams and Cordarous Young; great-grandchildren, Cor’Deja Campbell, Maxine Wilkins, Jordan Nelson-Fair, Keyonna Williams, Aundrea A. Marie Campbell, Mar’Casia, Marcus Jr., and Mar’Kesis Hopkins; a host of nieces including special nieces, Villa Hennie, Rhonda French, Tanya Hunter and Elizabeth Wilkins; a host of nephews including special nephews, Andre Hennie, Steven French and Robert Junior Hennie; sisters-in-law, Beverly Wooten and Patricia Hennie; god sent sisters, Tina Mabry, Iva Jennings and Phillis Ruffin; god sent children, Willie and Vanessa Fair; a host of nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including the entire Oak Park family. Ms. Alexander was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine; father, Milton; sister, Shirley; brothers, Eugene “Bo”, Robert “Skinny Will” and Tyrone “Ty”. The family would like to express special thanks to Charise Chism, Davita Dialysis, the staff of McLaren-Flint, Ms. Jean A. Bell, Edith Barnett, the Shaw, Palmer Wilson, Jones and Hobbs families and a host of family and friends.
