LENTON, Mr. Rodney D. - Age 44, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10 a.m. Monday, February 24, 2014 at Promise Tabernacle, 815 W. Carpenter Rd. with memorial service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor Frederick O. Flowers, Sr. Host Pastor, Pastor Walter McCall officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the Church 10 a.m. Monday. Mr. Lenton will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. Mr. Rodney (Rawdel) Lenton resided in Flint, graduating from Northern High School in 1987. While attending Mott Community College for business, he worked as a manager of a dispatching company for 4 years, and then he went on to an insurance broker for Aflac for 3 years. Then in 1996 he met his best friend and love of his life, Ms. Deliah Neal and they united in holy matrimony October 28, 2000. Rodney enjoyed his pass time with close friends and family, cooking and talking politics. Rodney leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of thirteen years, Deliah Lenton of Flint; 2 daughters, Aonshae Bierre Lenton, Kiona Charmanine (Lonzel) Taylor. parents; Arvinell (Johnnie) Davis of Flint; 1 brother, Krishon (Kendra) Davis; 3 sister in-laws, Tammy Neal Hatcher of Elga, IN., Kerri Mason, Thiona Phinisee of Flint, Godparents Vivian (Warren) Stocker of Discovery Bay, California; mother in Law, Ms. Hathe Parker of Saginaw, Michigan, Mr. Robert (Margie) Neal of Flint; grandparents, Mr. Mac (Tommie) Davis, Sr., Grand Blanc, MI; 5 Uncles, Mr. Jerry (Jackie) Lenton of Leeds, Alabama, Mr. Micheal (Lashawn) Lenton of Flint, Mr. Kenneth (Beatrice) Davis of Flint, Mr. Darnell (Valerie) Davis of Powder Spring, GA, Mr. MC (Mary) Davis of Flint; a host of relatives and friends, including special friends; Ms. Valencia Dixon, Mr. Jay King, Aaron Kelsey, Mr. Dequan Hughes, Mr. Filipe Vickers, and Mr. Eric Latham. Mr. Lenton was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Vern Johnson; aunts, Ms. Debbie Banks, Ms. Ruby Fergerson; god parents, Mr. James (Helen) Lenton; grandmother, Mrs. Florence Davis.
