STANLEY, Ms. Patricia Ann - Age 64, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Medilodge Grand Blanc. Family hour 10:00 AM Thursday, August 3, 2023 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Pastor Allen C. Overton Sr., officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the chapel 10:00 AM Thursday. Ms. Stanley will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Wednesday. Ms. Patricia Ann Stanley, age 64, was born on June 20, 1959 in Flint, Michigan to Sam and Bessie Mae Stanley. Ms. Stanley departed this earth and peacefully went on to glory Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Ms. Stanley was one of 12 children, born in the St. John neighborhood; however, later living in the Oak Park and Beecher areas. She was a proud graduate of Beecher High School, Edward School of Cosmetology and Mott Community College. She gave birth to one child, Brittney Stanley and later adopted another, Janyah Stanley. She loved looking her best, make up to perfection and being dressed to impress. She was a DIVA in her own right. She loved spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren and monthly sibling gatherings. She also loved, making people feel beautiful while doing their hair, especially her senior hair clients. Ms. Stanley worked for several years at the Urban League of Flint, WalMart-Grand Blanc and White Oaks Estates. But her passion was her many years as an anointed licensed cosmetologist. She spent several years working in others salons and later opening a salon of her own, Trisha’s Professional Hair Designers. She was also a foster parent for Genesee County Department of Human Services. Ms. Stanley accepted Christ at an early age and was under the pastorage of the Late Dr. Zack Smith, Sr. at Deliverance Church of God in Christ. She later attended Greater Friendship Azusa Church of God in Christ, El Shaddai Ministries Church of God in Christ and lastly, attended Refuge Temple Church of Flint until her health began to fail. Ms. Patricia Ann Stanley leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Brittney (Dremel) Adams and Janyah Stanley both of Flint, Michigan; 7 grandchildren, Amara, Donavan, Jayden, Darnell, Darrius, Demarcus and Xavier; 4 sisters, Rosa Hyatt, Genevia Stanley, Bobbie Stanley and Alice (Max Searcy) Stanley; 2 brothers, Thomas (Tracie) Stanley and Marcus Stanley; sister-in-law, Reta Stanley; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; especially special friends, Debra Ware, Rosie Ellison, Gerline Ferguson and Faye Townsend. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Bessie Mae Stanley, 3 brothers, Edward Stanley Sr., Jimmie Stanley and Woodrow Stanley; and 2 sisters, Lucinda Fisher and Normadeen Stanley-Thompson. The family would like to extend our deepest appreciation to Hurley Hospital 5th Floor Medical Team and Medilodge of Grand Blanc. Lastly, we would like to give a special thank you to Shauntele Clay-Johnson who helped provide care for our loved one.
