BARNETT-SANDERS, Mother Patricia Ann - Age 72, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at her residence. Family hour 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Bishop Raymond H. Dunlap, officiating. Entombment Sunset Hills Cemetery, 5-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Chapel 10:30 AM Wednesday. Mother Barnett-Sanders will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 2:00 PM-8:00 PM Tuesday. Mother Patricia Ann Barnette-Sanders was born February 8, 1947 in Albion, Michigan the daughter of Catherine Arrington and Hosea Watts. Mother Sanders was a Licensed Missionary and attended Eliezer Church of the Apostolic Faith in Flint. As a youth she attended John K High School in Chicago, IL and would later go on to further her education at Mott Community College where she received her Associates Degree in Arts. She was employed by Western Union, Mott Children’s Health Center and Flint Community Schools. She enjoyed shopping, watching Westerns, going out to eat, attending Church and spending time with her grandchildren. Mother Patricia Ann Barnette-Sanders leaves to cherish her memory: her husband of 9 years, Minister Allen D. Sanders of Flint; daughter, Annette Monique Gray; son, Robert Earl Gray; god-daughters, Wanda Henderson and Florinda “Popo” Bell; step-son, Alfred Barnette of Flint; grandchildren, Roshandra (Antonio), Essence Miller, Tatiana Lang, Markeese (Jasmine), Johnny (Adrianna) and Many more; great grandchildren, Markeese Jr, Aniyah, Alandis, Massiah, Keasia, Akeelah, Jaleel, Jakiah, Johnny Jr., Kennedy, Curtis, Jaylen, Brooklyn, JaTayiah and many more; 2 sisters, Dorthy Currie and Yvonne Bunny Hutchinson; brother, Sam Currie Sr.; niece, Veronica Bailey of Flint; nephew, Earl Porter of Lansing, MI; Sonny of Detroit; 3 sisters-in-law, Allison (Kelvin) Wright, Margo Kidd and Tara (Richard) Taylor; 2 brothers-in-law, Gregory Sanders and Billy (Sheila) Sanders; a host of other relatives and friends including, Sister Diane, Pope, Howell, Frances Miller, Oliver Lewis, Quetta Shields and Alicia Callahan. Mother Sanders was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine Arrington and Hosea Watts; son, Lee Lee Barnette; 3 sisters; 7 brothers; great-grandson, Mark Covington; and mother-in-law, Mattie Mae Miller. The family would like to express special thanks to Bishop Raymond H. Dunlap and the Eliezer Church family, Mother Hudson, Diane Peters, the Cancer Institute of Flint and Hurley Medical Center and the Medical Team.
