BROWN III, Mr. Otto, "Beecherboy Scrubby" - Age 40, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022, at his residence. Family hour 10:30 AM Monday, October 31, 2022, at House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, 1851 W. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 AM Monday. Mr. Brown will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Sunday. Otto “Scrubby” Brown III was born on March 25, 1982, to Otto Brown Jr. and Lanita Murray. He was born and raised in Mt. Morris, Michigan. Otto was formally educated in the Beecher School District. He loved his family and friends. If there was an event happening, he was in attendance. Scrubby had a heart of GOLD. He was always sending a good morning or good night text/inbox to let you know he was thinking of you. Otto would open his house often so his family and friends would have a place to stay. Not only would he open his house, but Scrubby opened his heart. That’s how his house became known as “the house of love”. It was a place where you could get a warm meal and good laugh. Scrubby had a great sense of humor and he loved to party. He named himself “Mr. Hennessey”. Otto also enjoyed football and basketball and was a mentee of Coach Townsend. His memory will be carried in the hearts of many. One thing we know for sure Scrubby is “Still Boomin”.
