DANIELS, Mother Osie Mae - Age 87, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Henry Ford Hospital. Family hour 12:00 PM Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Morningstar Missionary Baptist Church, 4075 E. Atherton Rd., Burton, with funeral service commencing at 1:00 PM Pastor Keith Bigelow, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 12:00 PM Saturday. Mother Daniels will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday, May 10, 2024. Mother Osie Mae Daniels was born December 11, 1936 in Pikesville, Alabama the daughter of Stewart and Mary McCaw, Sr. She departed this life on April 24, 2024 at Henry Ford Hospital Detroit, Michigan. Osie attended Robert E. Hunt High School in Columbus, Mississippi, “Class of 1959.” She received her calling at 10th Street Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. J. Smith in Columbus, Mississippi. Mother Daniels received a diploma in Bible and Theology April 3, 1990 and she was an ordained minister. Mother Daniels performed Street and Jail Ministry, prayed for lost souls family and friends. She loved to travel, went to Jerusalem like spending time with loved ones, best known for her lemon meringue pies, candied yams and potato salad. Mother Daniels was a member at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church over fifty years and sang in three choirs. Mother Osie Mae Daniels leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Charlotte McCoy-King of Katy, TX, Victoria McCreay of Flint, MI; sons, Gabriel Daniels of Kalamazoo, MI and Mike McCow of Sikeston, MO; grandchildren, Taya (Tremayne) Baker, Sr. of Flint, MI, Le’Queta (Kelvin) Bean, Jr. of Katy, TX, Michelle Daniels (Mike) of Flint, MI, Veonka McCreay of Katy, TX, Ezekiel Daniels of Kalamazoo, MI, Aaliyah Daniels of Southfield, MI, Tarrell Brewer and Denise McCreay, both of Flint, MI, Alycia Moore of Albuquerque, New Mexico, De’Shawn Ducree, and Derrick Jones of Saginaw, MI; great-grandchildren, TreMayne Baker Jr., TaCarria Baker, Kyrie Bean, Kamir Southward, Dairea Seabron, Jr., Nevaeh Daniels, Areyonna, Breyonna and Billy Williams, Amri and Kyra Ducree, Zaire and Trajen Adams, Kelvin III, Kyle and Ashley Bean; great-grandchildren, Kireem and KeiAyla Bean; niece/daughter’s, Donna Brown of Flint, MI and Teresa McCoy of Arlington, TX; god-daughter, Tanesha Abass; sisters, Gloria Beard of Moreno Vally, CA, Betty McCaw of Flint, MI and Addie Harris of Columbus, MS; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Georgiana Polk, Ernestin Davis, Bobbie Washington, Eloise Sims, Connie Edwards and Rosetta Williams. Mother Daniels was preceded in death by George Daniels, Stewart and Mary McCaw, Sr, Bertha Fant, Lonsie McCoy, Ann Riley, Queen Ester Wilkins, Alfonzo Daniels, Stewart McCoy, Jr., Chambers and Robert McCoy.
