BELL, Mrs. Nettie B. - Age 90, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Heartland Healthcare Center-Fostrian Manor. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 1083 E. Stewart Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Christopher Taylor, Host Pastor, Pastor Andre Powell, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Saturday. Mrs. Bell will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday with the family present from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM to receive friends. Mrs. Nettie B. Bell was born December 21, 1929 in Crawford, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Mose and Mary Gray. Nettie made her transition from this life on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Heartland-Fostrian Health Care Center, surrounded by loved ones. She was a former member of Charity Missionary Baptist Church in Mississippi. Nettie B. was a loyal and dutiful member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church until her health declined. She married Mr. Charlie W. Bell Sr. on May 10, 1953, and from that union 6 children were born. Mrs. Nettie B. Bell leaves to cherish her memory: children, Charlie (Belle) Bell Jr. of Grand Blanc, MI, Dorothy (Dwaine) Hankins, Shirley Hatcher, all of Flint, Leo (Patrice) Bell of Elk Grove, CA and Leon (Libby) Bell; daughter-in-law, Renee Bell, all of Flint; grandchildren, Charlie Bell III, Brandon Bell, Taylor Bell, Keesha (Donald) Holbrook, Donald (Delesha) Robinson Jr., Angela McKay, Dwaine Hankins Jr., Jimmie (Danielle) Hatcher II, William Hatcher, Sheria Hatcher, Kyle Thomason, Alandra (Jeremiah) Towner, Shaun Thomason and Leon Bell II; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Earnestine Gray, Virginia Bullock-Gray, Laura Bell-Love and Lois Bell; brothers-in-law, Henry Bell Jr., Joe Bell and Robert (Nancy) Bell; beloved and cherished nieces, Mary Tucker and Mary Dulaney; nephew, J.B. Odneal Sr.; a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special family friends, Jimmie Hatcher Sr., Doretha Morris, Gregory McKay and Carol Towns. Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Charlie W Bell Sr.; loving son, Willie C. Bell; parents, Mose and Mary Gray; 4 sisters, Harriett Dickerson, Jose Mae Hairston, Bessie Will Odneal and Hattie Harris; 7 brothers, Mose Gray Jr., James Gray, Simon Gray, Johney Gray, Jethro Gray, LeGree Gray and Odis Gray Sr. The family would like to express special thanks to special friends, Roxanne Moore, James and Gayle Ragston, Heartland-Fostrian Health Care Center, Heartland Hospice Care, Pastor Andre Powell and Antioch Missionary Baptist Church family.
