Mrs. Nancy Crutcher

CRUTCHER, Mrs. Nancy - Age 81, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020 at her residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Thursday, November 5, 2020 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 11:00 AM Thursday. Mrs. Crutcher will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Wednesday. Mrs. Nancy Crutcher was born May 4, 1939 in Huntsville, Alabama, the daughter of Herbert Townsend and Ruth Daniel. Nancy was a resident of Flint for 50+ years. She attended City of Faith Church, where she was baptized. Nancy was employed for over 30 years at Fisher Body and Buick City, divisions of General Motors Corporation. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and going to rummage sales. Mrs. Nancy Crutcher leaves to cherish her memory; 2 daughters, Glenda (Gerry) Lane and Fredericka Crutcher, both of Huntsville, AL; son, Kevin (Malinda Fleming) Crutcher of Flint; 5 grandchildren, Demetrius Crutcher, Philandis Crutcher, Kevin Fleming, Malon Fleming, all of Flint and Denae Clayton of Huntsville, AL; 4 great grandchildren, Armani Baskin of Desoto, TX, Antwan Demetrius Price of Flint, and Germany and Tanajah of Huntsville, AL; 2 sisters, Millie Ford of Huntsville, AL and Ruth Bryant; 2 brothers, Edward (Velma) Townsend both of Flint and Leonard Townsend of St. Louis, MO; 23 nieces; 17 nephews; aunt, Amanda (George) Murphy of St. Louis, MO; 2 sisters-in-law, Venus Mae Townsend of Flint and Jeannett Townsend of Chattanooga, TN. A host of other relatives and friends, including special friends, Thyra Williams, Loretta Goines and Lorraine Johnson. Mrs. Crutcher was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Mae Sue Townsend Smith and Tuscenia Townsend; 3 brothers, Hubert, David and Ditto Townsend; granddaughter, Tamesha Roshell Crutcher and Special friend, Richard Redmond. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Trevor Singh at Karmanos Cancer Institute of McLaren Flint and the staff.
