MABRY, Mr. Moses G. - Age 83, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Rev. Trevor E. Mabry Eulogist. Eld. Gregory W. Tucker officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10 a.m. Saturday. Mr. Mabry will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. Friday. Mr. Moses Grenstone Mabry was born July 18, 1931 in Flint Michigan, the son of Willie and Sadie O. Mabry. Mr. Moses Mabry was a veteran in the United States Army where he served as a medic, he was also drafted to serve in the Korean War. Moses was employed at General Motors, retiring after 38 years of service. Mr. Mabry enjoyed fishing, horse racing, and going to the casino. He also loved to watch the Detroit Pistons basketball games, and Sanford & Son on T.V.Mr. Mabry was a caring and loving person who loved to help and give to others, but most of all, he loved his wife, Dorothy Mabry and his children, Tony, Andre, Lance, Trevor, Todd, Gregory, and Brenda with all of his heart. Mr. Moses Grenstone Mabry leaves to cherish his memory: 5 sons, Anthony (Cindy) Mabry, Andre P. (Aubray) Mabry, Lance S. (Teva) Mabry, Elder Trevor E. (Debra) Mabry, and Todd Q. (Shyvonne) Mabry; step-son, Gregory W. Tucker; 22 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Constance (McKinley) Wilkes, and Andrea Knight; brother, Marvin (Yvonne) Mabry; niece, Barbara Taylor; nephew, Micheal Taylor; 4 cousins, Sandra Cavette, Anthony Cavette, Courtney and Jason Cavette; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends; Ethel Powell, and Hattie Edwards. Mr. Moses Grenstone Mabry was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mabry; parents, Willie and Sadie O. Mabry; sister, Barbara W. Robinson; step daughter, Brenda Jones; 2 god-sons, Berry Singleton, and Nard Powell; cousin, Clayton Cavette. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Tommy Stevens, the ICU staff at Hurley Medical Center, and the Rankin Street residents.
