Mr. Michael Clack

CLACK, Mr. Michael - Age 44, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020 at his residence. Family hour 1:30 PM Tuesday, April 21, 2020 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:30 PM Pastor Lawrence Washington, officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Tuesday. Mr. Clack will lie in state n the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Monday. Mr. Michael David Clack Sr. was born February 13, 1976 in Flint, Michigan the son, Donald and Sandra Clack. Michael was a lifelong resident of Flint and attended Williams Elementary, Whittier Middle and Flint Central High schools. He earned his High School Diploma at Grand Rapids Job Corps where he earned an Automotive Repair Certificate. Michael began cutting hair at an early age and continued throughout his adulthood. He attended Baker College of Flint and was so excited to be learning. Michael majored in Automotive Repair and made the dean’s list. He was known as Mike aka “Lil Mike” and was known for his stories, freestyle, barbecuing, “tall tales” and giving all the kids around him candy and snacks. Michael never knew a stranger and those he called “friend” were often closer than family. He had dozen of honorary nieces and nephews. Michael took pride in sharing his testimony and gave his life to the Lord in his youth as a member of Metropolitan Baptist Tabernacle. He later rededicated his life to God and joined Kent St. Church of God. Michael loved to encourage others and put a smile on the faces of all he met, including his wife of 9 years, Darcel D. Phinisee-Clack. Mr. Michael David Clack Sr. leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Darcel D. Phinisee-Clack; daughter, Zoe M. Clack; 2 sons, Michael D. Clack Jr. and Donzal C. Walker; 3 step-children, Corey Sprinkle, Jasmine Sprinkle and Keyla Sprinkle, all of Flint; 2 grandchildren, Julian and Jaiden; 2 sisters, Yvette Clack and Tonya (Lonell) Clack-Keener; brother, Donald M. Clack Jr. of Fort Wayne, IN; 8 nieces, Chiquita Clack, Charisse Perkins, Tatyana Grigsby, Arya Van Eck, Marqueshia Clack, Whitney Willingham, Arleesha Willingham and Tyanna Clack-Allen; 9 nephews, Donald Clack III, Tony Longmire, Cameo Steele, Kendall Keener, Javon Phinisee, Tyler Clack-Allen, Mark Phinisee Jr., Azell Pinto and Victor Gonzalez II; Floyd (Brenda) Clack; special cousin, Michael Clack; mother-in-law, Margaret Phinisee-Gonzalez; 2 sisters-in-law, Victoria (Donnie) Van Eck and Laura Lisa Gonzalez; brother-in-law, Mark Phinisee Sr.; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Chris Williams and “The Basement”, Steve Hopson. Mr. Clack was preceded in death by his father, Donald McKinley Clack; mother, Sandra Kay Hairston-Clack; step-son, TaQuan Sprinkle; grandmothers, Sally Mosley, Maydean Clack; aunt, Theresa Warner and uncle, Reggie Warner.
