Mr. Michael Wilford Anderson

ANDERSON, Mr. Michael Wilford - Age 79, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at his residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with memorial service commencing at 11:00 AM. Rev. Brigitte Hallum, officiating. Family and Friends will assemble at the chapel 10:00 AM Tuesday. Mr. Michael Wilford Anderson was born July 25, 1944 in Terre Haute, Indiana, the son of Josephine Dixie and James L. Anderson. Michael was baptized at a young age at Spruce Street African Methodist Episcopal Church. He graduated from Wiley High School, “Class of 1962” in Terre Haute, IN. In 1962, Michael moved to moved to Flint, Michigan and attended Mott Community College. He served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967 and was Honorably Discharged. Michael was employed by General Motors Corporation as a Skilled Tradesman from 1963 - 2006. He enjoyed automobiles, sports, history, good food and nice cologne. Michael also enjoyed driving his car on long rides, watching westerns on television and listening to music. He was devoted, loving, proud, faithful and an encouraging father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He would do nearly anything for those that he loved. Michael was also a loyal, caring friend and neighbor. He was honest, trustworthy, generous, protective, loved to tease and be playful, hardworking and selfless. Mr. Michael Wilford Anderson leaves to cherish his memory: 2 daughters, Dr. Miko (Brian) Jeffries and Michi Hill, all of Grand Blanc, MI; son, Michael K. Anderson of Glendale, CA; grandchildren, Domonique “Dani” (Adediran) Fatokun of Grand Blanc, MI, Michael K. Anderson Jr., Dylan Anderson and Jade Anderson, all of Los Angeles, CA, Wallace Hill V, Zachary, Matthew and Gabrielle Jeffries, all of Grand Blanc, MI; 3 great-grandchildren, Grace, Noah and Michael Fatokun, all of Grand Blanc, MI; sister, Delores (Leon) Carter of Indianapolis, IN; a host of nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Patricia Anderson of Anderson, IN; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Lawrence and Virginia Heller, Virginia Billups, Rev. Michael Russell and Eddie Jones. Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine Dixie and James L. Anderson; 2 brothers, Barry L. Anderson and James R. Anderson.
