JORDAN, Mrs. Menjuan A. - Age 55, passed away, Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2012 at True Gospel Missionary Baptist Church, G-5390 Fairhaven Street with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Malik Shabazz officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 10:00 a.m. Monday. Mrs. Jordan will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed from 10 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Mejuan A. Jordan was born January 15, 1957 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Brenda Childress and Cleodia Myles, Sr. She graduated from Flint Southwestern High School, “Class of 1975” and Western Michigan where she received a Bachelor’s degree. She was employed by General Motors in 1976. Menjuan served in the United States Air Force for 4 years before returning to A.C. Spark Plug where she retired and was a member of UAW Local 651. Menjaun found Jesus Christ again at True Gospel Missionary Baptist Church. Her hobbies included reading the Bible and sewing. She also enjoyed cooking for her husband. Other than God, Menjuan loved her husband Tommie unconditionally. She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Tommie Jordan III of Grand Blanc, MI; stepdaughter, LaTieka of Morrow, GA; 2 sisters, Deena (Victor) Blakely of Flint and Danille Myles of Arlington, TX; 3 brothers, Cleodia Myles, Jr. of Arburn Hills, MI, Reginald (Kelly) Myles of Washington, MI and Alan (Fermeko) Myles of Flint; step-mother, Rosa Myles of Flint; 9 nieces; 5 nephews; 4 aunts, Margaret Draine, Carol Carrington and Judy (James) Moton, all of Flint and Louise Hill of St. Louise, MO; 4 uncles, Robin (Kathy) Childress of Flushing, MI, Edward (Diana) Childress of Gilroy, GA and Jason Childress of Detroit, MI and Odies (Lydia ) Miles Jr. of Flint; brother-in-law, Jackie (Cindy) Tinsley; a host of cousins other relatives and friends. Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Fontenot; father, Cleodia Myles, Sr.; aunt, Kay Pharms; grandparents, Odies and Ida Miles, Sr., Algie and Eva Childress; mother and father -in-law, Susie M. Morrow and Tommie Jordan II and brother-in-law, Johnnie Tinsley. The family wishes to express special thanks to Pastor Malik Shabazz and the True Gospel Missionary Baptist Church family, Pastor Ramsey and the Kingdom of Heaven Church family.
