JOHNSON, Mrs. Melody R. (Jones) - Age 61, passed away Wednesday March 1, 2023, in Brinkley, AR. Family hour 10:00 AM Monday, March 13, 2023, from the Chapel of Lawence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Minister Erica Leverette, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Monday. Public Viewing will be held only during the family hour. Mrs. Melody Robin (Jones) Johnson was born September 26, 1961 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Ellistene (Sutton) Jones and Curtis C. Jones Sr. Melody married Waymon Johnson and was a resident of Holly Grove, Arkansas. She attended Stewart Elementary, Whittier Middle and Southwestern High Schools in Flint, MI. Melody loved cooking, doing puzzles, old school music and especially loved watching football and movies. She was very funny, strong willed and loving hearted. Her upbeat spirit and contagious laughter we will hold in our hearts forever. Mrs. Melody Robin (Jones) Johnson leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Waymon Johnson; daughter, Echo Jones, both of Holly Grove, AR; bonus daughter, Gigi Kelly; step-son, Travis (Brittany) Harris of Conway, AR; granddaughter, Jayda Smith of Holly Grove, AR; 4 step-grandchildren, Zion, Zariyah, Zed and Zander Harris; 4 sisters, Michell, Mary and Marie Jones, all of Flint, MI and Tiffany (Melvin) Lee of Tampa, FL; brother, Curtis C. Jones Jr. of Saginaw, MI; 6 nieces, Chenelle, Erika, Markita and Sydney Jones, all of Flint, MI, Alice (Jess) Mench of Gaylord, MI and Londynn Lee of Tampa, FL 5 nephews, Vincent Jones of Saginaw, MI, Duane Jones II of Macon, GA, Kent and Corey Jones, both of Flint, MI and Melvin Lee III of Tampa, FL; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins; 3 sisters-in-law, Geraldine and Tabitha Johnson, Wanda Thompson, all of Clarendon, AR; 6 brothers-in-law, Lawrence of Little Rock, AR, Luther (Elizabeth) of Marietta, GA, Gene of Clarendon, AR, Larry of Stuttgart, AR, James Johnson of Fort Worth, TX and Melvin Lee Jr. of Tampa, FL; a host of other relatives and friends including special friend, Earl Shelton of Kansas City, MO; special cousins, Renee and Lewis Allen of Flint, MI, Stanley Earnest of Little Rock, AR; special sister, Chanel Harvey of Flint and special cousin, Eileen Thomas.
