TOLBERT, Mr. Matthew Bernard III - Age 30, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024, at his residence. Family hour 11:00 AM Monday, January 22, 2024, at Bountiful Love Ministries, 3432 W. Pasadena Ave., with funeral service commencing at 12:00 PM. Pastor Kevelin Jones, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11:00 AM Monday. Mr. Tolbert will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Sunday. "Matt, Matt" Age 30, passed away Saturday, January 13th, 2024. Matthew was born May 28, 1993, in Flint, Michigan to Matthew and Kieshia Tolbert. He attended Hamady Schools and Graduated from Carman Ainsworth High School in 2011. He was a graduate of Mott Community College Culinary Arts School. Matt was a gifted culinary artist, Matt accepted Christ in 2021 and he was a faithful member of Bountiful Love Church he loved the Lord with all his heart. Matt was a protector and great supporter, he was a gentle giant, with a smile that would brighten the sky, he loved to have gatherings with his family and friends and if you had a chance to have fun with him you know (“IT’S STILL EARLY”). Matthew will be deeply missed, and he leaves to cherish his memory Tiara M. (Watson) Tolbert, his soulmate, they were engaged to be married on May 2nd, 2025. His parents Matthew and Kieshia Tolbert, his parents “in love” Earl and Theresa Watson, Grandfather William R. Cook, Grandmother “in love” Marie Nelson. His Sisters Sparkles (Santinno) Rogers, Kionna (Malcolm) Long, Lateshia (Sherman sr.) Tolbert, Nellie Washington all of Flint and Caress Cross of Texas. His Brothers: Alonzo Kimmons Sr., Andre (Shantel) Johnson of Flint, Earl (Anequa) Watson of Texas. His Aunt’s: Tammy Cross, Leasa (Lavelle) Brown, Tracey Cornelius, Yolonda (Omar) Henderson, Latosha Taylor, Annette Tolbert, Vicky (Erick) Kilgore all of Flint, and Sandra Brown of Texas. His Uncles: Andre (Tracy) Green of Flint, Gerald (Ayeesha) Green of Texas, Marshall (Beverly) Tolbert, Greg Tolbert, Bruce Tolbert, Randy (Andrea) Tolbert all of Flint and Jackie Stewart of Iowa, Albert Brown Jr of Iowa. His nieces Shania (Donzel) Kimmons, Arianna (Jarteaves) Kimmons, Yasmine Gillum all of Flint, his special niece Jasmine Gillum of Flint. His nephews Javonte Washington, Alonzo Kimmons, and Sherman Richardson Jr. all of Flint. He was proceeded in death by his grandmothers Virginia M. Brown and Venola Tolbert, grandfathers Albert Brown and Matthew Tolbert I, His Aunt Valerie Tolbert, Aunt Alphera Brown, Cousins Brennen Johnson and Andrea Green, Favorite Pet Missy. Special Friends – The Westwood boys Courtney Wilburn, Curtis Johnson, and Charles (CJ)Taylor, also special friends of Matt and Tiara, Allontra Kelly, Tiara Poe, Ra-heem Banks. A host of other relatives and friends, special cousins Britney (Waun) Scotts, Tyree and Shawn Randle, Demetrius Wright, Bless Calhoun, Shavia Jones, Breonka (Arkeem) Wilson and Breanna Johnson all of Flint, Jeremy Green and Torrie Green of Texas, Jason (Ashley) Tolbert of Grand Rapids, Jeremy (Cianna) Tolbert of New York, Desmond Tolbert, Lamar Tolbert and Britney Kilgore of Flint, Daryl Killgore, Shonlonda Tolbert and Sherece Tolbert all of Flint.
