JACKSON, Mrs. Mary Jo - Age 70, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, Georgia. Family hour 1:30PM Monday, June 4, 2007 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2PM. Bro. Larry Murphy officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30PM Monday. Mrs. Jackson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 10AM-8PM Sunday. Mary Jo Jackson was born May 6, 1937 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Albirtus and Gladys Parham. Mary was a resident of LaGrange, Georgia. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah?s Witnesses and was an active member in her congregation ministry service. Mary graduated from Flint Northern High School "Class of 1955". She worked for AC Delco a Division of General Motors for 32 years and was a Licensed Cosmetologist. Mary enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She was a friend to all she met extending herself to others even when it meant a sacrifice to herself. Mrs. Mary Jo Jackson leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Tommy L. Jackson of LaGrange, GA; 4 daughters, Constance Harris of Groveport, OH, Antoinette Mitchell of Reynoldsburg, OH, Tracie (Hiawatha II) of Saginaw, and LeShawnda (Jamal) Dozier of Flint; grandchildren, Branndon, Brionne and Anthony Mitchell, Jr., all of Reynoldsburg, OH, Tillman (Monique) Harris of Flint, Tayme (Miwa) Harris of Okinawa, Japan, Taurean Harris of Columbus, OH, Tairetha (Maruse) Bailey of Memphis, TN, Hiawatha Smith III of Saginaw, Machai Jamison of Flint; great-grandchildren, Kierra Smith, Jasmine Bailey, Aiesha, Kanasa, and Brianna Harris; 3 sisters, Agnes White, Rogia Roberts and Eunice Anderson; brother, Edward Parham, all of Flint; 5 nieces, Sarah Nolen of Phoenix, AZ, Brigitte Reaves of Nashville, TN, Cerise Roberts of Flint, Miko Jefferies of Lathrop Village, MI and Michi Hill of Flint; 8 nephews, Michael, Wendell, Craig, Roy and Bryce, all of Flint, William of Novi, MI, Brandon of Youngstown, OH and Michael Anderson of Walnut, CA; aunt, Doris Thurman of Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law, Francis Adams of Gary, IN; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Minnie Pearl Keel and Lucy Stinson. Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her grandson, Travon Smith; parents, Albirtus Parham and Gladys Flynn; grandparents, Frank and Georgia Thurman; niece, Deborah White.
