Mrs. Margie Henry

HENRY, Mrs. Margie - age 58, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Rev. Lamar Griggs officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10 a.m. Saturday. Mrs. Henry will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12 p.m.-8 p.m. Friday. Ms. Margie (Hinkle) Henry affectionately known as “Susie” was born March 13, 1956 to Mr. Ollie Edward Pound and Mildred Crayton in Fulton, Mississippi. Margie departed this life on Sunday April 27th, 2014 at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan. Margie accepted Christ at an early age. In her youth years she spent time in St. Louis, Missouri, and then she later settled in Flint, Michigan where she graduated from Flint Central High School and later attended Baker College for further education. Margie then met and married Leonard Henry where they enjoyed five lovely kids. Margie worked a number of different jobs, including Pro Clean, and Light Industrial, but her passion for people allowed her to work closely as a direct care worker and caregiver. Margie was a true “Sweet Heart”; she enjoyed listening to music, laughing, shopping, cooking, helping others and truly spending time with family and friends. Ms. Margie (Hinkle) Henry leaves to cherish her loving memory: son, Leonard Antonio; 2 daughters, Tameka (Janar) Stinson, and Katesa Henry both of Flint; 4 grandchildren, Desire Henry, Leonard Henry IV, Janar Stinson, and Aleece Henry all of Flint; 4 sisters, Pearl Traylor, Melba Hinkle, Theresa Hinkle all of Flint, and Ruby Hinkle of St. Louis, MO; 4 brothers, Lloyd Hinkle of Glendale, CA, James Michael Hinkle, Charles (Beatrice) Hinkle, all of Flint, and Gary Christian of Fulton, MS; a host of nieces and nephews including special friend, Robert Mayers. Ms. Margie (Hinkle) Henry was preceded in death by 2 children, Renada and Terrence Henry; parents, Ollie Pounds and Mildred Crayton; 2 sisters, Barbara Williams and Ethel Howell and nephew DeMarco. The family would like to give a special thanks to Superintendant Lamarr Griggs, Pastor Kevin Thompson, Hurley Medical Center and all those who gave her support and comfort during her time of need.
