CURTIS, Ms. Margaret Lee - Age 66, passed away Monday, May 18, 2026, at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:00 AM Thursday, May 28, 2026, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Allen C. Overton Sr., officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Thursday. Ms. Curtis will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed during the family hour only. Ms. Margaret Lee Curtis was born November 1, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Leroy and Lois Curtis. Margaret was a resident of Flint, Michigan, where she graduated from Flint Northern High School. She was a very caring and generous person who was always willing to lend a hand. Margaret loved fashion and was always well put together whenever she stepped out the house. She loved her sons and her one and only granddaughter. Margaret was a woman of God who relied heavily on her faith even during her illness. She will be greatly missed. Ms. Margaret Lee Curtis leaves to cherish her memory: sons, Dumoica and Lujuan Terry, and Corey J. Russell; granddaughter, Oneatha “Nae” Terry; great grandsons, Michael Banks II, Jamarion Williams and Bruce Barnes; father, Leroy Curtis; mother, Lois Jean Curtis; sisters, Theresa Curtis, Rosalind (Omar) Cook, Delores Clark, Angela Marshall, Patrice (Dana) Curtis, Andrea Owens, and Roi “Von” Johnson; step-sister, Tara Gowdy; 10 nieces and 8 nephews; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Ms. Curtis was preceded in death by her grandparents, brothers in law, Daron Johnson and Robert “Tuffy” Clark; niece, Erika Glover. The family would like to express special thanks to the nurses at Hurley Medical Center, Lawrence E. Moon and staff, her sons, Quan and Corey for taking great care of her during her illness.
