ALEXANDER, Mrs. Louise - Age 74, passed away Monday, December 12, 2022, at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 am Thursday, December 22, 2022, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Rev. Theodore Watson, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 AM Thursday. Mrs. Alexander will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Wednesday. Ms. Louise Delta Keasley Alexander, age 74, of Flint, Michigan Completed her earthy assignment and entered into eternal rest on Monday December 12, 2022 at Hurley Hospital ICU after a Lengthy illness, surrounded by Family. Louise affectionately known by many as Lou, Aunt Louise, Grandma and Ma she was born on October 14, 1948 in New Orleans, Louisiana the Daughter of the late Louise and Clarence Keasley. Upon graduation from Walter L. Cohen High School in New Orleans Louisiana, she left to travel North to Flint to get a Job. Where she got a job at Fisher Body / Buick City GM Plants. She loved her job but had to retire due to health issues. She never waivered in her Faith and Love for the Lord and His people. She attended church regularly and was a member of New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church until her then Pastor/ Bishop Odis A. Floyd was called home by the Lord. She then attended House of Prayer under the Leadership of Pastor Kenneth Stewart until he was called home by the Lord. Louise was a Foster Care Parent to many for many years making some of the kids she fostered her own, all of the children she loved and cared for were safe, was fed, had a cozy place to sleep, they had fun, they laughed, played, had dinner together and traveled together. They were a family. Louise loved Bowling back in her early years, she loved to shop till she drop and Travel with her Children and Grands to different Amusement Places, you will find her at home Planning the Perfect Party for her children with Horses, Clowns and a Carnival with all the trimmings. At Christmas you can see her house soon as you turn the corner on her street you see Christmas lights with all the trimming. Louise had a gift for cooking her southern food she would be in the Kitchen with a BIG Pot cooking her Gumbo, Dirty Rice, Cabbage, Green beans with potatoes, but she makes the best stuff Bell Peppers you ever want to taste. “She will be sorely missed by all those she has Touched.” Ms. Louise Delta Keasley Alexander is survived by her loving family: 5 daughters, Janel (Michael) Colston, Yolanda Alexander, LaQuasha Keasley, Shaquilla Keasley and Jamelah Keasley; 2 sons, Jonathan (Julia) Tucker of Clinton Township, MI and Javonate Keasley, all of Flint, MI; step-daughter, Kristy Alexander of Phoenix, AZ; step-son, Shelby Jackson Sr. of Denver, CO; sister-in-law, Ethel (Raymond) Collins; brother-in-law, Royal (Linn) Alexander; 9 beautiful grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Carl, Tyninya, Jhorden, Montrel, Ta’ja, Shaquilla, Nathan, Christine, and Amber, all of Flint, MI; 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends, and special cousins, Lydia, Leonard “Pop”, Lynette, Leona Atkins of New Orleans, LA. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Clarence Keasley; mother-in-law, Mable Alexander; sister, Barbara Keasley; grandsons, Shelby Jackson Jr., and Jhayden Miller; cousin, Mae Atkins; dear friends, Vester Williams and Willa Huddleston.
