VERDUN, Mrs. Linda - Age 53, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, MI. Public Viewing 12Noon-8PM Wednesday, January 23, 2008 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. Mrs. Linda Verdun was born July 25, 1954 in Flint, MI, the daughter of Inez Reynolds and Delmus Harrington. Mrs. Verdun was a resident of Lansing, MI. She attended Sacred Heart Church in Flint and House of Prayer Church in Fort Worth, TX. Mrs. Verdun attended College at Pepperdine University, Lansing Community College and University of Michigan-Flint. She was employed for GM Truck and Bus Flint Division, Oldsmobile Lansing Division, and Truck and Bus in Arlington, TX. Linda's main hobbies included art and doll collecting. She also was a runner of the Olympic Torch for the 2002 Olympics. Mrs. Linda Verdun leaves to cherish her memory: spouse, Rodley Verdun of Lansing, MI; daughters, Ariel Verdun of Fort Worth, TX, Niemah Verdun and Aaquil Verdun of Lansing, MI; 4 step children, Jaquita, Sarita, Oatrice, and Rodley Verdun II all of Flint, MI; parents Inez Reynolds and Delmus Harrington; grandparents, Ethel Ruffin and Square Ruffin; sisters, Christine Leggins and Joy (Boyzie Lee) Mathis of Atlanta, GA; brother, Lavonunia Smith; nieces, Marie Leggins and Tina Renee Connie; nephews, George Leggins, Dwayne Wright, Willie Leggings, Lavounia Smith, and Boyzie Lee Mathis II; aunts, Juanita Hughes, Christine Ruffin, Ollie Mae Ruffin, and Alma Ruffin; uncles, Burlee Ruffin, Squaire Ruffin, W.B. Ruffin, and Earl Ruffin; a host of cousins; mother-in-law Etta Verdun; 6 sister-in-laws, Jean Smith and Susan Verdun of Flint, MI, Billie Wright and Sue Verdun of Ovid, MI, and Margaret Verdun and Sandra Verdun of Flint, MI; 9 brother-in-laws, Hamilton Verdun, Charles Smith, Willard Verdun, Lionel Verdun, Rudolph Verdun, Paul (Mickey) Verdun, Andrew Verdun, Deacon Tony Verdun, and Bruce Verdun; a host of other relatives and friends, including special friends, Yasuko Hall, Christine Hinton, James Flowers, Burgandy, Dadre all of Lansing, MI, Amanda and Nate Fasan, Maria and Nolan Santee, and Harriet and Craig Fielder.
