MORRIS, Ms. Linda Ann - Age 68, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023, at her residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, September 23, 2023, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Saturday. Ms. Morris will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday.Ms. Linda Ann Morris was born May 18, 1955 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Bessie and Johnny Morris. Linda was a lifelong resident of Flint and graduated from Flint Central High School, “Class of 1973.” While in high school she began working for General Motors Corporation for 20 plus years. Linda loved spending time with her son and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading Danielle Steele books and the Bible. She will be greatly missed. Ms. Linda Ann Morris leaves to cherish her memory: son, DeJuan Smith; 2 grandchildren, Lajae D. and Jayana L. Smith of Houston, TX; 6 brothers, Johnnie (Joyce) Morris of Farmington Hills, MI, Ollie Morris, William (Sheila) Morris, Brian (Rose) Morris, Vincent Morris, all of Flint and Bruce (Tawnya) Morris of Southfield, MI; 10 nieces, Olliesha, Kanisha, Kimberly, Natasha, Tiffany, Hannah, Brooke, Jadis, Tiara, Kimora, Kamariana, and Laianna; 8 nephews, Johnnie II, Bruce, Marcus, Antionio, Brock, Maurice, Raekwon and Damarion; cousins, Cheryl Hunter, Karen Browne, Phyllis Jordan and Tammy McIntosh, Carmen Hewitt, Braxton Vaughn, Ken (Mable) Hitts and Lela Pearl Starling; 2 sisters-in-law, Denise Balknight and Chenita Holley; brother-in-law, Rodney Balknight; cousin, Ken (Mable) Hitts; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Larry Balknight, Sandra Martin, Sandra Keels and Sherry Hogan. Ms. Morris was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie and Johnny Morris; sister, Kathy Morris; aunts, Berthene Hayes, Polly Jordan, Ruby McIntosh and Ora Browne; uncles, Charles, Orsmond, Henry and Frank.
