Mr. Lenois Legardye

LEGARDYE, Mr. Lenois - Age 80, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015 at McLaren - Flint. Family hour 10 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 1083 E. Stewart Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor Lewis Randolph officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Association, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church at 10 a.m. Saturday. Mr. LeGardye will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 1 p.m. - 8 p.m., with family present 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Friday. The family would like to express special thanks to Hurley Medical Center ICU Nurses and Doctors, McLaren-Flint Nurses and Doctors, especially nurses China and Teresa Daugherty, Pastor Lewis Randolph and Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith…” 2nd Timothy 6:7 Mr. Lenois LeGardye was born on March 6, 1935 in Doddridge, Arkansas. He was the sixth of nine children, born to the late Mr. and Mrs. John and Louise (Ellen) Simington LeGardye. Lenois accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age, and was a youth member at United Methodist Episcopal Church in Doddridge. He was educated in the Arkansas Public School system and he furthered his education at Mott Community College as well as the University of Michigan – Flint in skilled trades. In 1964 he married the love of his life, Ms. Ruby Jordan. To this union, they were blessed with 2 children, Timothy and Andrew LeGardye. Lenois was a dedicated employee with General Motors Buick and Chevrolet Metal Fab – Flint, where he worked in skilled trades. He retired in 2002 after 44 ½ years of faithful service. Lenois was multi-talented. He was a member of the Local 659, a barber, and it seemed like he could fix anything. Lenois’ hands were truly gifted from God. Mr. LeGardye leaves to cherish sweet and precious memories, his loving wife of 51 years, Mrs. Ruby LeGardye; sons, Timothy and Andrew LeGardye both of Flint, MI; granddaughters, Deja and Maiya LeGardye both of Flint, MI; grandsons, Andrew LeGardye of Flint, MI; sister, Ezerene (Pastor Lewis) LeGardye-Williams of Pinebluff, AR; brothers-in-law, James E. Warner of Doddridge, AR, Milton Jordan of Newton, MS; goddaughters, Cinda Adams, Brandi Rimmer, and Rene Winston; godsons, Willie (Georgette) Chapman and Jamil Cooper; mother of the grandchildren, Chenika LeGardye; a host of other loving caring niece, nephews cousins and friends.
