JOHNSON, Ms. Latoya Monic - Age 47, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 1:30 PM Saturday, February 22, 2025, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Saturday. Ms. Johnson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday, February 21, 2025. Latoya Monic Johnson was born December 27, 1977, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Tonya Johnson and O’Neal Collins. Latoya better known as “T Mack” was a proud graduate of Flint Northwestern High School Class of 1996 where she graduated as an honor student. She later continued her education in pharmaceutical studies a Baker College. She was also known for being employed at Big Star in Beecher for 15 years when many who’ve encountered her truly remembers her for her BIG and General Motors as well as Thai Summit before her illness. Latoya was a great cook and was famous for her Macaroni and cheese and was a personal comedian to everyone whom she encountered. Latoya was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time at FanDuel sponsored events, going to her favorite store Meijer's and she also enjoyed weekend road trips to the casino. She also loved spending time with her sons in whom she loved dearly as well as her granddaughters Lily and Melody. Latoya Monic Johnson leaves to cherish her memory: 3 sons, Deonte Miller, Rashameer Miller and Jaylon Miller; 2 grandchildren, Lily and Melody, all of Flint; father, O’Neal Collins of Battle Creek, MI; step-father, James Brown of Flint; 3 sisters, Lisa Taylor of Battle Creek, MI, Latacha Johnson and Bre Johnson; 2 brothers, Rondell Collins, all of Flint and James Brown of Battle Creek, MI; 6 nieces, Latonya Johnson, Aleesha Kelly, Sha’Breeia Taylor, La’Neesha Taylor, La’Quasha and Sha’Marri; 4 nephews, Kevonta Johnson, Demarrio Phife and Deandre Jones and Marquice; 4 aunts, Haroletta Lily, Sheila Weston, Paula Pruitt and Alvatina Wilson, all of Flint; 2 uncles, Harold Johnson of Atlanta, GA and Anthony Johnson of Flint; a host of cousins including special cousins, Sonya Butler, Tenille Tucker, Jashell Mitchell, Jatona Mitchell, Quintisha Norton, John Williams, Danisha Johnson and Katherine Williams; god-daughter, Kiara Riggs; a host of other relatives and friends including special friend and companion, Jeffrey McGalliard; best friends forever, Dawn Cobbin, Reagan Riggs and Kisa Loyd; special sister, Ramonda Miller; and special god-son, Demetrius.
