Mr. John L. Patrick

PATRICK, Mr. John L. - age 66, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at his residence. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with celebration of life service at 2 p.m. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Patrick will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 1 p.m.-8 p.m. Monday. Mr. John L. Patrick was born October 6, 1947 in Bolivar, Tennessee, the son of John (Hattie) Patrick. John graduated from Flint Northwestern High School, “Class of 1966.” He was a Vietnam Veteran and was Honorably Discharged from the military in 1972. John was employed at The Flint Board of Education for 20 plus years before retiring. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and refurbishing cars. If you were a part of his family you were truly blessed and truly loved. Mr. John L. Patrick leaves to cherish his memory: 2 daughters, Denice Tiggs and LaRosa Patrick; son, John Michael Patrick; godson, Marcus Humphrey; 5 grandchildren, Janiah McDaniel, Zy-kia, Jakala and Taniya, and Kamren Patrick; stepmother, Belinda Patrick; sister, Anna (Arthur) Paige; 5 brothers, Michael, Larry, Anthony, James (Cynthia) Patrick, Lamar (Antionette) Patrick; a host of nieces and nephews; 6 aunts, Nolena Crowder of Washington, D.C., Vivian Martion of St. Louis, MO, Margaret Clark of Port Huron, MI, Denise Brooks of Clinton Twp., MI, Gail McQuiller of Memphis, TN and Linda Harvell of Joliet, IL; 2 uncles, Robert and Thomas (Mattie) Macon, all of Toone, TN; a host of cousins; 3 sister-in-laws, Lucy Humphrey, Regina (James) Harvell and Rose Ayala; 2 brother-in-laws, Elijah (Jackie) Stout and Ben Humphrey; a host of other relatives and friends including the Patrick, Paige, Humphrey, Franklin, Lenear and Macon families, former-wife and mother of his daughters, Charlotte Patrick-Keyes, mother of his son, JoAnn Lee and special friend, Linda Nasir, . Mr. Patrick was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Patrick; parents, John and Hattie Patrick; and sister, Antionette Patrick.
