Mr. Jerry Jerome Luckado

LUCKADO, Mr. Jerry Jerome - Age 73, passed away Friday, April 10, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Luckado will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., Monday, April 20, 2020 and may be viewed from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI. Mr. Jerry Jerome Luckado was born December 30, 1946 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Evergene Luckado and Ralph Walters. At the early age of 8 his other father, Will T. Fleming, came into His life. Jerry was educated at Dort and Parkland Elementary, Emerson Jr. High and graduate of Flint Northern High School, “Class of 1965.” He was employed at Chevrolet Manufacturing, a division of General Motors Corporation and was a member of UAW Local #659. Jerry was Honorably Discharged from the United States Army in 1969. He would always put in suggestions at General Motors and was rewarded for them. Jerry was baptized at an early age at Canaan Baptist Church. He used to love fixing cars. Back in the day he was an excellent Roller and Ice Skater. Jerry was also a “Sharp” Dresser and sharp dancer. He also played Basketball at Flint Northern High School. Jerry was a fan of the Judge Shows and ID Channel on TV. Mr. Jerry Jerome Luckado leaves to cherish his memory: 2 sons, Jermaine Morris and Shon (Kim) Burney, all of Flint; 3 step-children, Tonya Bacon, Nicki (Michael) Banks and Jamal Bacon; grandchildren, Dorchelle F. Goolsby and Kaylee Morrison; 3 sisters, Doretha Nancine Jackson, all of Flint, Earlene Walters Berry of Burnham, PA and Iris Walters Coofer of Oakland, CA; step-brother, Henry Lowe; 5 nieces, Cheryl Coleman, Sabrina and Sonya Horton, all of Flint, Trichelle (Raymond) Brown of Loganville, GA and Iris (James) Langston; 4 nephews, Daryl (Chevela) Horton, Travis Jackson, Quenland (Chris) Jackson, Therron (Koya) Wilson-Jackson, all of Flint; aunt, Clara Mae Triggs of Jackson, MS; cousins, Lavarne (Deena) Ross, Vance (Roslyn) Harris, Terry Luckado, Ida Mae Luckado, and special cousin, Aneta (Danny) Wilkerson; sister-in-law, Betty Horton of Flint; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Debra Becon, mother of his son, Marion Morris, Leroy (Cleo) Griffis, Butch (Ann) Rushing, Maurice (Brenda) Mahan, Justice Thigpen, Brandon, Black, Luckado and Woodson families. Mr. Luckado was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Burney Luckado; parents, Evergene Luckado (Will T. Fleming) and Ralph Walters; sister, Shirlene Jackson; brother, Ernest Horton; Luckado aunts and uncles.
