FARLEY, Mr. Jermaine Kernard "Smokey" - Age 44, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital-Dallas, TX. Family hour 10:00 AM Friday December 21, 2018 at Greater Holy Temple Church of God In Christ, 6702 N. Dort Hwy., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM., Bishop Roger Jones, Host Pastor, Minister Cousteau McGee, officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, 5710 N Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 10:00 AM Friday. Mr. Farley will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-8:00 PM Thursday. Mr. Jermaine Kernard Farley was born on January 20, 1974 in Flint, Michigan to parents Andrew Farley Sr. and Sherry D. Cayton-Farley. To his mother he was known as “Jerry”, his motorcycle club members referred to him as “Smokey”, and his nieces and nephews called him “Uncle Maine-Maine”. Jermaine graduated from Flint Northwestern High School, “Class of 1992.” After graduation he attended Mott Community College. A year later he enlisted in the United States Marines and afterwards continued his education with Phoenix University. Jermaine moved to Texas in 2012. He was employed by the Arlington Assembly Plant, a division of General Motors Corporation. Jermaine was a member of Northeast Bible Church in Plain Oak, Texas. Jermaine loved dressing sharp, dancing, riding his motorcycle, traveling, and hanging out with his close friends and motorcycle club members (The Drifters). He also enjoyed playing board games, cards (1500), shooting pool, sleeping and eating (especially eating his mother’s banana pudding). Jermaine was funny, entertaining, loving, kind, considerate, helpful, encouraging and a great listener. He will be deeply missed. Farley; 2 brothers, Andrew Farley Jr. and Cousteau (Carolyn) McGee; step-brother, Shunta Skaipper; 6 sisters, Wanda (Terry) Mullins-Mclaurian of Gulfport MS, Karen (Robert) Vickers of Flint, Ladista (Darrel) Fagan of Mt. Morris, MI, Donna Farley, Ambi McGee and Annyonne McGee, all of Flint; 2 step-sisters, Charlotte Jenkins and Ebony Modest; 6 nieces, Syreeta Campbell, Penjaisa Burks, Dayonlynn Bell, DaShayla Vickers, Oasis Farley and Caylah McGee; 7 Nephews, Andrew Mullins, Terry White, Broderick Farley, Jeremiah Murphy, Joshua Farley, Dashawn Vickers and Christian McGee; a host of aunts including special aunts, Ella Papillion-Jones, Jeanette (Ph) Holmes and Gracetta Pitts; a host of uncles including special uncles, Charley, Bruce, Mark, David, and Johnathan Cayton; a host of other relatives and friends including special cousins, Meleny Love, Lisa Pitts, Nathaniel Cayton, Jamonte Papillion, Christopher Papillion; Friends, former wife Kimberly Collins, Catisa Proctor, and Benny Redd. Jermaine was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charley (Etta) Cayton, Onnie (Williams) King, Issac Farley and Carlene (Vernell) Cowart.
