THOMAS, Miss. Jasmine B. - Age 22, passed away Friday, April 2, 2015 in Phoenix, AZ. Family hour 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2109 M.L.King Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Kevin Dixon Host Pastor. Rev. Rodney Ellison Officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11 a.m. Tuesday. Miss. Thomas will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m. Monday. “Our Angel”, Jasmine Brittany Thomas was born February 7, 1993 in Flint, Michigan. She was the daughter of Mr. Ernest L. Thomas Jr. and Mrs. Tamara D. (Larkin) Barge. Jasmine attended Elementary school in Flint, and graduated from Basha High school in Chandler, AZ. She was baptized at an early age and served as a faithful member of the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Alexis L. Thomas. Jasmine preached her own sermon from ‘the get-to-the-go’ by daily living a life unashamed to have Jesus Christ at the center. She enjoyed being an inspiration others and giving a kind word while lending helping hand, where ever needed. “Our Angel” Jasmine enjoyed dancing, reading, singing, traveling, poetry, writing, and especially socializing with numerous family and friends. She will forever be remembered for her contagious smile, which would light up any room!!! “Our Angel” Jasmine Brittany Thomas leaves to cherish her memory: father, Mr. Ernest L. (Lakeshia) Thomas Jr. of Flint; mother, Tamara (Bruce) Barge; brothers, Ernest L. Thomas III, Christian Barge, all of Phoenix, AZ, Xavier, Thomas, and Ernest Thomas IV all of Flint; step-sisters, Amber, Amanda, and Arianna Barge, all of Phoenix, AZ and Miesha Hausley of Flint; step-brother, Brandon Barge of Phoenix, AZ; grandparents, Juanita (Melvin) Carroll of AZ, Frances Thomas, Richard Young, Ernest Thomas Sr. and Johnny (Earlene) Paylor of Flint; 3 aunts, Lola R. Larkin of Southfield, MI, Cookie Thomas and Komaneciche Flowers, both of TX; 2 uncles, Brian R. Larkin of California and Alfred (Helena) Thomas of Flint; a host of great aunts, great uncles, and cousins, including special cousin, Casarah (Pooh-Pooh) Flenard of Flint, Fulce family, Yongela Ward, Nick Werlinger, and Malcolm Rogers, all of AZ, dearest extended family, Penny Ellison, Inez Graham, Darris Harrison, Crystal Umphryes, and most honorable best friend, Daniel “Buhd” Fulce of AZ. Miss Thomas was preceded in death by her grandfather, Harrison Larkin, Jr.; uncles, Lonnie Martin and Elijah “Frog” Thomas and great-grandmother, Ruth Jefferson Morris.
