THOMPSON, Mrs. Janie Terry - Age 55, passed away Friday November 25, 2011 at her residence. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2 p.m. Interment Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, G-2020 E. Hill Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Mrs. Thompson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 2-8 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Janie Mae Thompson was born January 20, 1956 in Wheatley, Arkansas, the daughter of Alma Sain and Frances Butcher. Janie received her C.N.A. License and was employed at Genesys Regional Medical Center for about 10 years. She loved fishing, playing pool and dancing; her favorite thing was listening to blues every Saturday and Sunday. Janie favorite food was greens. Mrs. Janie Mae Thompson leaves to cherish her memory: husband, James Thompson of Flint; daughter, Tramisa Lenette Terry; son, Cortez Devon Terry; 3 step-children, Tawanna Horn, Desiree Artis and Tasha Artis; 9 grandchildren, Sherica Wilder, Clifton Terry III, Robert Junior Cox II, Cortez Devon Terry II, Taina Cox, Amillnique Terry, Za’Quan Ellison, Tamarion Terry and Tamariona Terry, all of Flint; father, Alma Sain; great-grandchild, Mar’Jana Ka’Mariana Veal; siblings, Vonzial (Lula Mae) Lee, Robert (Sandra) Lee, Butcher Earnest Lee, Dorothy (Frank) Blair, Vera (Adolph) Lee, Addie Mae Grant, Eugene (Anita) Sain, Virginia (Jerome) Brown and Kathy (Bobby) Young; a host of nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Mrs. C. Ester Thompson; sister-in-law, Mary L. Thornton; son-in-law, Robert Junior Cox; daughter-in-law, Shannon Scarbrough; a host of other relatives and friends including special friend, Peggy Philips and godson, Alonzo D. Cox. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her son, Clifton E. Terry II; mother, Frances Sain Butcher; sisters, Erma Jean Sharrock, Maxine (Wilbur) Meyers, Charlene Schofield and Ruth Hall; sister-in-law, Katherine and brother-in-law, Keith.
