BRAZIL, Mr. Jaleel Rasheed - Age 21, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022, in Detroit, MI. Family hour 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 424 Kennelworth Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Jevon Q. Catlett Host Pastor. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Tuesday. Mr. Brazil will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Monday. Mr. Jaleel Rasheed Brazil, age 21, departed this life, arriving safely in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Sunday, October 23, 2022 in Detroit, Michigan. Jaleel Brazil was born November 21, 2000 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Candice Jackson-Burns and Darwin Brazil. He attended International Academy of Flint, Antioch Middle School and Parkhill High School in Kansas City, MO., where he played varsity football. Jaleel graduated from Mt. Morris Alternative High School, Mt. Morris, MI. He professed his love for Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in 2006, under the leadership of Rev. Roy I. Greer. Jaleel was a consummate sportsman with an avid love for basketball and football statistics. He was also a lover of poetry and all types of music, especially rap.
