SWANIGAN, Mr. Harold L. - Age 45, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10 a.m. Friday, October 30, 2015 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10 a.m. Friday. Mr. Swanigan will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 1 p.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Harold Livell Swanigan was born March 11, 1970 in Flint, Michigan the son of Hal Ray and Karen Ann (Anderson) Swanigan. He attended Flint Northwestern High school and graduated from Job Corps. Harold was a member of Family of Worship Center for 4 years, where he was practicing his ministry, earning certificates from Victory Outreach. Harold obtained a dealer’s license and sold cars in his spare time. He could be found daily with family and friends, acting silly, dancing and telling jokes every holiday (he loved this immensely). Harold enjoyed helping people, fishing, cooking, skating, Old School Cars and imparting wisdom. Mr. Harold Livell Swanigan leaves to cherish his memory: spouse, Sheena Swanigan (Hodge); 4 daughters, Jocelyn Swanigan (Jazz Thompson), Lashonda Swanigan (Shaday Thompson), Alicia Hodge and Shantisha Smith; 3 sons, Priness Swanigan, Amos Swanigan and Matthew Smith; 5 grandchildren, Demario, Demieco, Tabari Thompson, Lovae Thompson, Aarieal Morgan; step-father, Albert “Jimmy” Williams; sisters, Adrian “Duke” Swanigan and Crystal Swanigan; nieces, Kiara Swanigan, Myageia Batson and Timeria Moore; nephews, Rashad Swanigan, Kevon Williams, Mekhi Penn and Jaire Waters; special cousins, Robert Jordan, Sherita Swanigan and Lonnie Williams; mother and father-in-law, Blache Kuhn and Ivory Joe Bradley; sisters-in-law, Lakeda (Norman) McLemore and Crystal (Wesley) Hodge Whitner; brother-in-law, Eldon (Sheryl) Davis; a host of other relatives and friends, including special friends, Kenny Young, Adrian Santee; and special uncle, Floyd Swanigan. Mr. Swanigan was preceded in death by his parents, Hal Ray and Karen Ann Swanigan; nephew, Dairea Bradley-Hawkins; and aunt, Pauletta Jordan.
