GERMAIN, Ms. Germain J. - Age 47, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2008. Memorial Service 11AM Saturday, November 29, 2008 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 11AM Saturday. Ms. Germain will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 4-8PM Friday. Ms. Germain Joyce Germain was born February 8, 1961 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Glen Junior Germain and Joyce Ann Taylor. She was a resident of Montrose, MI where she grew up and graduated. She was a member of Old Country Church in New Lothrop, MI. Germain worked various jobs over the years but the one thing she enjoyed and talked about the most was “working in the woods.” She enjoyed attending church, reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She would do anything for anyone and family was very important to her. Germain was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in July of 2006, she put up a strong fight until the very end. She was strong willed, kind, loving and an all around amazing woman. Ms. Germain Joyce Germain leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Rachel Germain and Eric Anderson both of Montrose, MI, grandchildren, Forrest, Dakota, Ravyn, Alisha, Donovan and Kyann all of Flint; 3 sisters, Pearl Lesley, Toni Church both of Clio, MI and Glenda Riddle of Lennon, MI; 2 brothers, Glen Germain of Clio, MI and Marvin Germain of Montrose, MI; 9 nieces, Connie, Tracy, Michelle, Tosha, Tammi, Toni, Holly, Krista and Heavenly; 6 nephews, David, Bobby, Bryan, Jody, Jeremy and Wyatt; several great-nieces and nephews; 3 aunts, Patricia and Verla Germain and Betty Taylor; 3 uncles, Harry Taylor, Richard and Bill Germain; several cousins; 2 brothers-in-law, Ron Riddle of Lennon, MI and Michael Lesley of Clio, MI; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Vera Watkins of Clio, MI, John Arnold of New Lathrop, MI and Sandra Tingley of Flint. Ms. Germain was preceded in death by her parents, Joyce Ann Taylor and Glen Junior Germain and several others. The family would like to express special thanks to the Montrose Eagles Club, Avalon Hospice and Theresa Shefsky.
