HARRISON, Mr. George Thomas - Age 77, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025 at his residence. Family hour 10:30 AM Friday, August 22, 2025 at Harris Memorial C.O.G.I.C., 4317 Lippincott Blvd., Burton, MI. Pastor Eric Bogan, officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the church 10:30 AM Friday, August 22, 2025. Mr. Harrison will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM, with family present 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM to receive friends. George Thomas Harrison was born on May 10, 1948, in Fackler, Alabama, the beloved son of Susie Harrison. He grew up in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, just outside of Chattanooga. In 1968, at the age of 19, George relocated to Flint, Michigan, driven by big dreams and a determination to create a better life for himself. With unwavering work ethic and ambition, he began a long and fulfilling career at General Motors Corporation and was a member of UAW Local #599, where he proudly worked for 38 years. During that time, he met the love of his life, Patricia Marie Collier in February of 2004, they were united in Holy Matrimony. George was a devoted and loving father. He was widely known for his passion for classic cars and was often complimented for his immaculate landscaping—his pride in his home was evident to all who visited. George Thomas Harrison leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Patricia Marie Harrison; their daughter, Alexis Harrison; his daughter, Domonique “Gena” Humphrey; his son, Thomas (Tianna) Humphrey and their mother, Vanessa Humphrey. He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Zsa’Qana (Deontai) Nelson; and four grandchildren: Carlito, Adaya, Deontai II, and Taven. He is lovingly remembered by his two sisters, Donna (Chuck) Thomas and Sheila Harrison; his brother, Timothy Harrison; father-in-law, Bradley (Carolyn) Collier; two sisters-in-law, Amy (James) Mobley and Benika Collier; and brother-in-law, Collin Brown II; along with a host of other relatives and dear friends. George was preceded in death by his mother, Susie Harrison; sister, Elizabeth Harrison; mother-in-law, Gloria Collier; brother-in-law, Bradley Collier Jr.
