Fred Pugh

PUGH, Mr. Fred - Age 56, lived his life to the fullest, until he departed this life on Saturday, December 27, 2008 in the loving care of his wife and mother. Family hour 10:30AM Monday, January 5, 2009 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM, Pastor Lawrence Washington, Sr., officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Monday. Mr. Pugh will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 10AM-6PM Sunday. Mr. Fred Pugh was born October 6, 1952 in Thomasville, AL, the son of Essie Mae McCaskill. Mr. Pugh enjoyed watching basketball, football, listening to music, working in his garden and fixing things. He also enjoyed his two Boston Terriers and the great outdoors. Mr. Fred Pugh leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Jessie Pugh of Flint; daughter, Lonsie Clark of Luskin, TX; 5 stepchildren, Sequida (Roger) Foster of Saginaw, MI, Tiquan Ryan, Romeki Tatum, Ronica Tatum, Darryl (Ann) Ray all of Flint; 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; mother, Essie McCaskill; stepparent, Jimmie Lee McCaskill; grandmother, Ella Mae Pugh; 4 sisters, Gloria Parker, Donna Washington, Joyce McCaskill, Deborah Shelton all of Flint; 3 brothers, Billy Pugh, Dominick McCaskill both of Flint, Marcus McCaskill of Chicago, IL; a host of nieces; nephews, cousins; special aunt, Nettie Dotson; 2 sisters-in-law, Gwendolyn Anderson of Flint, Diane Pugh of Pine Hill, AL; 3 brothers-in-law, Lawrence Washington, Sr., Lawrence Anderson and Ronnie Shelton all of Flint: a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Henry Jones and Nathaniel Fleming. Mr. Fred Pugh was preceded in death by grandfather, Fed Pugh; mother-in-law, Threasa Anderson; aunt, M.L. Thompson; brother-in-law, Willie Anderson; uncles, Sidney Pugh and Herman Pugh; nephew, Robert Montgomery, Jr. The family would like to express special thanks to Avalon Hospice Nurses, Mary Jane, Cathy Cooke and Jennifer Brady.
