METCALF, Mrs. Erica D. - Age 27, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016. Family hour 1:30 PM Saturday, October 22, 2016 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. with a memorial service commencing at 2:00 PM Evangelist Dorothy Young officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Saturday. There will be no public viewing. Ms. Erica DeQuindea Metcalf was born December 30, 1988 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Diani Ann Young and Eric Metcalf. Ms. Metcalf was a graduate from Alternative High School in East St. Louis, IL. Erica worked many jobs from the age of 16, but she was currently employed at Ashely Court in Brighton, MI. Erica loved everyone, taking family outings, organizing family functions, couponing with her cousin, Nena Carr, shopping, eating and traveling. Erica always made sure that everybody was happy. She was the life of every party, her best friend, Erica Streater was her daylight, because Erica was her midnight. She loved dressing her brother, Treveyon Allen for all Homecomings and Proms.
