Mr. Eric Powell Middleton

MIDDLETON, Mr. Eric Powell - Age 59, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Willowbrook Manor. Family hour 1:00 PM Saturday, October 21, 2017 at House of Prayer Missionary Church, 1851 W. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 1:30 PM Pastor Kenneth L. Stewart officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4133 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 1:30 PM Saturday. Mr. Middleton will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM 8:00 PM Friday. Mr. Eric Powell Middleton was born August 1, 1958 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Pauline and Willie Brown. Eric gave his life to the Lord at an early age. He was a dedicated member of House of Prayer Missionary Church. Eric retired from General Motors Corporation. He enjoyed travelling, listing to music and telling jokes. Eric loved to spend quality time with his grandchildren, his family meant a lot to him. He was a very sharp dresser and was very well known throughout the community. Eric will be greatly missed by his friends and his dear family. Mr. Eric Powell Middleton leaves to cherish his memory: 2 daughters, Sha’ Monica Price of San Antonio, TX and Sha Niece Middleton of Flint; grandchildren, Marquceo Whiteside, Demieko Whiteside, Amarion Whiteside, all of San Antonio, TX and Jermiah Brown of Flint; mother, Pauline Brown of Flint; sister, Kim Middleton of Flint; 2 brothers, Andre Brown and Anthony Brown, both of Flint; 6 nieces, Erica Brown, Kristen Middleton, both of Dallas, TX, Nicole Middleton, Ireonna Jsckson, Kelli Evans and D’ Niya Brown, all of Flint; 6 nephews, Dee Andre Middleton, Michael Colen, Eric Brown, Taquan Brown, Toney Brown, Andre Brown and Derontae Brown; 2 aunts, Dorthy Flippins and Edna Robinson, both of Flint; uncle, Elton Denson of Flint; special cousins, Owen Denson, Wayne Denson and Dennis Dover; mother of his children, Priscilla Price; god-daughter, Jade White; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends; Audrey Henderson, Johnny Player, Anthony Baker, Castillo “Zeek” Fleming, Ronald Walker, Johnny Billings, Tim Wilson, Malcolm Payne, Fred Stephens, David McEwen, Wayne Jones, Willie Davis, Dorothy Price and Mike Davis. Eric was preceded in death by his father, Willie Brown; grandparents, Lucille and William Denson; sisters, Sherri Middleton, Lucille Denson and Lynn Brown; aunts, Martha Cooper and Thelma Denson; and uncle, Gerald Denson. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at Willow Brook Manor and the staff at Hurley Medical Center.
