Mrs. Earma Lee Woodberry

WOODBERRY, Mrs. Earma Lee - Age 87, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at McLaren - Flint. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Canaan Baptist Church, 910 E. Gillespie St., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Pastor Charles Roots, officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Saturday. Mrs. Woodberry will lie in state in the chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday, with family present from 4:00PM - 6:00 PM to receive friends. Earma Cain entered this life on February 10, 1937 just minutes before the birth of her twin brother, Oze Lee. She was the seventh of twelve children born to the union of the late Benjamin and Earl Cain of Damascus, Arkansas. Earma migrated from Arkansas to California and lastly to Michigan where she resided until she fell asleep in death with her daughter, Emma at her bedside on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at McLaren-Flint. Earma met her future husband, John L. Woodberry in 1963 and years later they were joined in marriage until his passing in 2002. Earma was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who chose to be a stay-at-home mother to rear her three children. Her life was just pure and simple. She enjoyed Word Search Puzzles, crocheting, listening to Gospel Music and watching NBA Basketball. Earma also enjoyed baking pies, her specialty was Sweet Potato and Coconut Pies. One of her greatest joys was preparing Sunday dinner for her daughter and grandsons, Gary and David. She was a good listener as family and friends would call her daily to talk to her for hours, especially her nephew, Gregory Woodberry. She had great patience! Earma professed to Christ earlier in life and years later she became a faithful member of Canaan Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Charles E. Roots until her health began to decline. She was lovingly cared for by her daughters, Emma and Tammy during the last three and a half years of her life. Earma Lee Woodberry leaves to cherish her precious memory: beloved children, Ronald, Emma and Tammy; grandchildren, Tracy (Steven), Taitiana, Gary, Briana, Ronald Jr., David, Gregory, Christopher, Romello, Giselle and Trinity; great-grandchildren, Jason, Alexia, Marioone, Semaja, Kenyatta, King, Timothy, Marius, Khalil, Kembrya, Syvonte, Ashari, Chaise, Breah, London, Nation and Venture; great-great-grandchildren, Jason, Mario and Skylar; siblings, Delmo Sr., Jimmie (Norma), Jemima and Lois (Unice); sister-in-law, Winifred; a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Earma was preceded in death by her husband, John L.; grandson, Robert; great-grandson, Mario; parents, Benjamin and Earl Cain; siblings, Benjamin, Edward, Christopher, Willie Lewis, Birdiemae, Oze Lee and Nineruth. The family of Mrs. Earma L. Woodberry would like to express their appreciation to all of you for your love and support.
